This shoot of Chang'e's Thoughts on Resisting Frost skin from Honor of Kings leans toward a cool, dreamlike aesthetic. The Twenty-Four Histories Academy setting proved ideal for this theme; its timber architectural structures, hanging red lanterns, and calligraphy scrolls in the background inherently exuded an ancient traditional vibe, harmonizing naturally with the setting without requiring superfluous set dressing. To embody the character's aura, the makeup and styling prioritized pink contacts and gradient hair tones. The wig was custom-set with signature side buns adorned with pink peonies and golden leaf accessories—hallmark traits of this skin that cast stunning metallic reflections under the lights.

The outfit boasts extensive layering: a white sleeveless stand-collar top, golden pauldrons, a dense plush shawl, and an outer layer of light pink tulle. In practice, the abundant sheer tulle easily caught and tangled while walking, requiring extra caution on staircases. Fortunately, sweeping sleeve gestures and turns during the shoot successfully captured that airy, floating grace. The small woven rattan lantern carried that day was a wonderful prop; its warm golden glow illuminated my face gently, creating a lovely contrast against the cool-toned background. Because lantern illumination is inherently directional, posing called for raising the lamp high or drawing it near the face to sculpt facial lighting. Below the hem, the lower styling and lace-accented heels (accompanied by sleek Stockings aesthetics) echoed modern adaptations of the skin, elongating leg lines nicely whenever turned slightly in profile.

To project Chang'e's celestial grace and the gentle warmth distinctive of Thoughts on Resisting Frost, I explored fluid body movements—harnessing the flow of the skirt and trailing scarves to add dynamism, or leaning and seated beside wooden desks to guide the viewer's eye. Several final frames were framed through balustrades, evoking a hazy, dreamlike realm. Between takes, I continually coordinated framing and lighting angles with the photographer; given the profusion of red lanterns on location, the pink-and-white palette naturally formed an anchor for visual focus. Facial expressions were kept restrained and tranquil, with occasional gazes toward the camera carrying a subtle sense of distant aloofness. The photo set centers on capturing the confluence of autumn night and dreamscapes, elevated by thoughtful prop placement and sheer fabric textures. Sincere thanks go to the photographer for patient guidance, uniting luminous highlights with wardrobe textures flawlessly, paired with impeccably balanced post-processing. Retaining rich Traditional Chinese style cosplay nuances, I hope this conveys both the quiet composure and nimble spirit of the character within this setting.
