[Remielle cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero New Character Wig Try-on: First Experience with Pink Hair Cat Ears

The moment the wig arrived, I couldn't wait to unbox it for a quick Wig try-on. Prepping to take the floor at the REDLAND Convention on October 4, the character I'm bringing to life is Remielle from Zenless Zone Zero. I've been steadily assembling various garments and props that are still arriving in batches, but the pre-styled silhouette of this wig was such a delightful surprise that I couldn't resist snapping a few bare-faced test photos right away.

First, let's talk about the wig's craft: the shade is a muted, dusty pastel pink with subtle cool gray undertones. Under indoor room lights, it emits a delicate sheen with natural gradient highlights across the synthetic fibers rather than looking overly plastic. It was cut into a classic blunt-bang bob, tapering into softly beveled ends with organic volume. The standout feature is definitely the crown sculpting—two upward-arching hair bundles styled to form cat-ear silhouettes, which serve as Remielle's signature visual marker. I spent a little time working with styling wax and freeze spray to secure the structural curvature on top, giving the overall silhouette distinct three-dimensional depth.

Since this was purely prep for the convention, the primary goal of this try-on was assessing face-shape compatibility. While essentially bare-faced, I popped in reddish-brown contact lenses, swept on a sheer skin tint, and added a hint of pink blush to simulate the character's on-camera mood. I kept eye makeup minimal specifically to evaluate the fringe length. Right now, the bangs sit right above the brows without obstructing vision, while the face-framing tendrils contour the cheeks nicely. The tiny beauty mark beside my chin pops quite noticeably against the pink tones; for the official shoot, I might conceal it lightly or keep it as an authentic personal quirk. A simple chain necklace and a casual black camisole served as quick stand-ins to keep all visual focus locked onto the hair.

To authentically capture Remielle, I've done extensive homework on her props and wardrobe. I'm currently waiting on a few key accessories; once everything arrives, I'll recalibrate the makeup intensity against the garment's exact palette, particularly fine-tuning eyeshadow saturation and lip depth. The REDLAND Convention on October 4 is reportedly massive, so if the venue runs warm, wig breathability and styling longevity will be tested. I've already packed a travel-size hairspray and comb to reset stray strands on the convention floor.

While snapping these photos, I also played around with a glasses-free 3D camera filter on my phone. It was surprisingly fun, subtly tweaking facial contours and lighting to dial up that authentic 2D anime charm.
