[Hatsune Miku cosplay] Wearing This Antique Doll Outfit to the Tonghua Anime Convention!

The look I cosplayed is this Hatsune Miku antique doll version. The pure white ruffled dress paired with long ice-blue twin-tails and embellished with black ribbon bows gives the overall visual both the exquisite feel of a doll and the refreshing recognition inherent to Hatsune Miku herself. On the day of the shoot inside the Tonghua Anime Convention venue, the photographer utilized the venue's overhead highlights and a large aperture lens to naturally blur the convention crowds behind me, allowing the entire set of photos to present a clean and translucent cool tone. The focus of the makeup lay in a clear base and blue colored contacts; to fit the theme of an antique doll, several fine ribbons were specially woven into the hairstyle, which took quite a bit of time to arrange. Although my feet were a bit tired from standing for most of the day in high-heeled patent leather shoes, seeing the moment the shutter was pressed made me feel everything was completely worth it. The difficulty of this gear was actually the wig; the weight of the twin-tails combined with the headpiece put considerable pressure on my neck. Fortunately, with the help of a fan and pose designs during the shoot, convention photography managed to capture the dynamic motion of hair strands fluttering in the wind. The blue and white rose prop in hand also added some elegant elements to the frame, preventing the pure white dress from looking too monotonous. The charm of a convention photo is that although the live lighting environment is not fixed, it can capture a vivid sense of atmosphere, with each one being a record of the authentic state at that moment. Therefore, I am highly grateful for these angles captured by the photographer. Whether it's standing and lifting the skirt hem or sitting on the ground, the character's temperament was perfectly grasped, especially enveloped under the venue's highlights where the color accuracy was extremely high. Thanks also to the fellow fans passing by that day for giving me encouragement; the process of communicating is itself the happiest part of an anime convention. After finishing this set of photos, I also gained more insights into mastering this look, and will try more challenging classical styles when there's an opportunity in the future.
