[Ozora Akari cosplay] Aikatsu! Hatsumonogatari Anime Convention Convention photos, Energetic orange hair full of vitality

This set of outdoor Convention photos from the Hatsumonogatari Anime Convention in Guangzhou is finally sorted out. This time I cosplayed Ozora Akari from Aikatsu!. To restore Ozora Akari's vibrant feel, I deliberately chose this pink-and-blue stage outfit. The wig is bright orange, featuring side braids and the iconic large pink bow. In terms of makeup, I emphasized the energetic feel, using an orange-pink eyeshadow tone, applying blush quite prominently, and choosing a high-saturation lip color. This way, under the outdoor natural light, my complexion looked great, and it better matched the character's sunny attributes. The costume has quite a few details: the pink sleeveless top features golden borders and white ruffles, along with matching arm rings and wrist decorations, while the skirt is a pink-and-blue plaid pleated skirt, paired with white lace-up platform short boots on the feet. Wearing this outfit actually tests physical stamina quite a bit because there are many accessories, so when walking, care must be taken to prevent decorations from falling off.

Outdoor convention shooting really tests physical stamina and patience. The weather on that day was quite good, and the lighting was a soft natural light, which is particularly suitable for shooting such bright-colored characters. We chose to shoot along the park's walking trails and beside railings with metal handrails. The photographer used a large aperture, blurring the background nicely and eliminating the clutter of passersby and trees. During the shooting, I found that the railing is a great interactive prop; you can sit on it, lean against it, or gently rest your leg on the steps, which makes the composition look more layered. Especially at the railing by the waterside, a slight breeze blew past, setting the skirt hem and hair in motion, giving the frame a strong sense of summer freshness under the interlaced light and shadow. To avoid occasional passersby passing behind, the photographer also looked for many angles to keep the background as clean as possible.

In action design, since Ozora Akari is an idol, there needs to be a sense of being on stage. I designed some energetic actions, such as making a V-sign gesture, raising a fist like cheering up, and reaching out toward the lens. For that reaching-out shot, combined with the breeze blowing effect, when I looked at the camera screen on-site, I felt it had great infectious appeal. When sitting down, I let the skirt hem spread out naturally, crossing my calves or keeping one leg straight and the other bent, which not only makes the legs look longer but also makes the overall posture more relaxed. Because the skirt is a pink-and-blue plaid pattern, places with overly mixed background colors were deliberately avoided during shooting to ensure the character's colors stood out enough. When facing the lens, I tried to imagine myself on stage, bringing out that cheerful and confident state, keeping a bright light in my gaze without looking rigid.

Walking around the convention and park in this outfit yielded a very high turnaround rate, and quite a few photography enthusiasts came over to say hello. The whole process was quite happy; although wearing a wig for outdoor activities was a bit stuffy, seeing the final photos made everything feel worthwhile. Doing outdoor shoots really requires a lot of preparation in advance, such as anti-frizz treatment for the wig, ironing the costume, and planning shooting times based on the sun's angle. Morning light is relatively soft, while late afternoon has backlighting halos, both of which are great for shooting. Being able to complete this set of photos is inseparable from the photographer's composition and post-processing color grading, as well as the logistic friends helping hold bags and hand over water. Every time I cosplay idol-type characters, it evokes that feeling of sparkling for the stage. Ozora Akari has a very cheerful personality, so in front of the lens I tried my best to let go and show my truest smile. Every single photo was carefully selected, recording the happy state at that time.
