The Kazuha cat-boy styling is finally locked in, and this playful cat set grows on me more and more. The preparation this time centered heavily on trimming and sculpting the wig. To achieve that effortlessly disheveled yet textured short hair look, I took the silver-white base strands and sculpted airy curves piece by piece using hair wax, while leaving out the red hair highlights at the temples and back, flicking them slightly outward to maintain a windblown kinetic feel even in static poses.
To match the overall vibe, a lot of care went into makeup. The base makeup aimed for clean translucency, with a focus on defining eye contours. Photo 1 features amber-toned contact lenses with slightly upturned eyeliner, creating a casual yet subtly alluring ambiance. In Photo 2, I switched to bright red lenses, instantly sharpening my gaze into something more intense; paired with the red bow on top and fluffy cat ear hair accessories, it wonderfully merged youthful boyish charm with feline traits. The eyeshadow used low-saturation orange-brown as a base with subtle deepening at the outer corners, dusting a touch of reddish shadow along the lower lash line to add vitality and avoid looking washed out from the pale base.
Prop details were another focal point this time. The orange headset hanging around my neck is the true soul of the look. The metallic paint finish has great refraction under light, and the white maple leaf emblem on the side of the ear cups is clearly visible. To pair with it, I chose a white high-collar shirt. In Photo 1, pulling the collar up with one hand to cover the lower half of my face, combined with the city night reflections on the window glass, brought out that enigmatic yet lively temperament. In Photo 2, adding red suspenders elevated the visual center; the warm yellow indoor lighting made the red contact lenses pop brilliantly, and the addition of the cat ear cosplay hair accessories lent extra playfulness to the silhouette.
There were actually plenty of little tricks during shooting. For the outdoor shot, capturing natural catchlights took quite a search for angles, ultimately utilizing the reflection off a street display window to grant the frame depth of field. For the indoor shot, because of a clothing rack in the background, we deliberately shot wide open for creamy bokeh blur, keeping visual focus squarely on my face and the headset. The wig easily frizzes while wearing, so I carried anti-static spray and a pintail comb to adjust flyaways at any moment. Eye drop lubrication is also key for contact lens hydration during lengthy shoots.
Honestly, the happiest part of putting this look together is piecing all these fine details into place step by step. From the color ratio of the wig and the weathered texture of the headset to the shifting aura brought by different contact lenses, every stage took time. The white shirt collar needed to stay crisp, and the red suspender straps had to be adjusted just right without crushing the shirt's folds. Positioning the cat ear accessories required trial and error too—placing them too far forward looked awkward, while too far back lost the playful vibe. Overall, the two lighting atmospheres captured the character's qualities to perfection; whether the nocturnal mood or the tender warmth of indoor lighting, both turned out extremely satisfying for this Anime cosplay project.
