Looking back through my archives, I uncovered this winter Klee cosplay set from quite a while ago. There are actually so many intricate details to this costume: the long crimson coat features white piped trim, and to make it pop with three-dimensional definition before the camera, the four-leaf clover motifs along the hem were specially crafted from structured, thick fabric. The layered white bloomer shorts feature delicate lace ruffles, paired with brown suede boots adorned with white patterned trims, aiming to mirror the tactile textures of the original character design as closely as possible. The iconic red beret and pointed elf ears are truly the soul of the look; when trimming the wig, I deliberately left soft locks along the temples to frame my face, and that playful ahoge atop my head took repeated rounds of styling spray to stay perkily upright.
As for props, the oversized Jumpy Dumpty plushie cradled in my arms was undeniably the showstopper. Holding a plushie of this scale steadily during an outdoor shoot was surprisingly exhausting; to keep a firm grip while executing lighthearted, playful gestures, I rehearsed arm positioning in front of the mirror well beforehand. Shooting outdoors on a bridge in winter was undeniably freezing—the biting wind was intense, and while the coat offered decent warmth up top, the chill was impossible to escape down below.
In terms of posing, I strived to capture her innocent, carefree, and slightly mischievous spirit: pointing eagerly forward as in image one, or extending the bomb outward as in images two and three with a radiant smile, all to reflect her boundless curiosity toward the world. For makeup, I focused on luminous, clean eye makeup paired with rosy lips; to emphasize a youthful, doll-like sweetness, the eyeliner was drawn with a soft, gentle curve, and blush was applied slightly higher on the cheeks.
The leather backpack had great heft and structure, with its metal buckles catching the natural sunlight beautifully. Looking back now, there are certainly small things that could be refined—for instance, the wig tips tended to tangle easily in the gusty outdoor wind, so bringing a mini comb and styling serum for touch-ups next time will be essential. Staying warm during winter outdoor shoots is a must, so make sure to pack plenty of heat packs! Looking back at these photos today, I can still feel all the passion and devotion poured into every frame back then.
This vibrant red-and-white outfit shines so brilliantly under outdoor natural sunlight, which serves as a natural filter that accentuates rich color saturation and gives skin a healthy, glowing radiance. Choosing a bridge and riverside setting aimed to utilize wide-open negative space to match her energetic, adventurous personality, as expansive composition adds airy clarity to the frame. Preparing this cosplay involved extensive time studying her official splash art nuances—from every button on the coat to the decorative patterns on the boots, striving for faithful reproduction. Though constraints meant a few details weren't 100% flawless, carrying out a shoot with such raw warmth and enthusiasm in the dead of winter was an absolute joy in itself. I hope everyone can feel that pure, unadulterated happiness radiating through this set.
