Prepping for this Remielle cosplay look took quite some time beforehand, mainly because the fabric textures and makeup accuracy required repeated verification. The spliced materials in Remielle's costume are exceptionally rich: the upper body combines leather with sheer mesh, with spot-on details like the front metallic zipper and star-shaped pendant. The bottom skirt carries a subtle puffiness, which I paired with black garter straps and high heels to visually elongate leg lines with Stockings. For the wig, I selected layered short pink hair, accented on both sides with red ribbon bows and black geometric hairpins. To fit the elf or demon ear motif, I specifically wore pointed ear prosthetics; combined with pinkish eye makeup and delicate faux freckles across the cheeks, the entire makeup achieved an aura of mystery.

The studio set built on the shoot day was deeply atmospheric: deep crimson curtains paired with a black starry backdrop created strong light-and-dark contrast, complemented by a purple velvet sofa that leaned into a dark Gothic style aesthetic. For lighting, we used relatively hard strobes to accentuate the glossy sheen of the leather and metallic hardware; the highlight across the chest was achieved via on-site reflectors. I felt the outfit delivered its best expressiveness in seated poses: in the first full-body shot, I crossed my legs, which showcased the texture of the Stockings and body curves beautifully. In the second half-body shot, I leaned closer to the lens, gently touching my chin with a finger while channeling a gaze meant to convey an air both languid and subtly dangerous.

The toughest test during the shoot was maintaining the garment's smoothness and the wig's natural look. Because the outfit features tight-fitting leather elements, sitting for long stretches caused wrinkles easily, requiring frequent straightening by my assistant. Short pink wigs easily look frizzy under intense lighting, so I pre-treated it with hair oil, resulting in a nice sheen on camera. In posing design, I intentionally shifted my center of gravity slightly back to better display the garment's tailoring, which, synchronized with leg positioning, gave the frames dynamic tension. Regarding props, the metallic chains and pendants produced great specular highlights under the lights, so slight angle shifts made them pop. The overall palette leaned dark, yet localized highlights from sequins and metal kept the visual from feeling dull.

Venturing into this bold visual style, every aspect from wardrobe to set design revolved around Remielle's unique traits. Exhausting as it was, seeing the envisioned frames come alive made everything worthwhile. I hope this photo set brings out that distinct charm of Remielle Dan from Zenless Zone Zero.
