[Komeiji Koishi cosplay] Touhou Project's Autumn Gothic Fantasy

Preparing this Touhou Project Komeiji Koishi styling, I selected a vintage Gothic Lolita dress for the wardrobe. The overall palette is anchored in black, beige, and dark green. The wide-brimmed black top hat is a definite highlight, with cascading tiers of black lace sewn along the brim and soft-toned silk faux flowers adorning the crown, softening the heaviness of the black. The blouse splices extensive black lace frills over a beige base, complemented at the neckline by a black lace choker with a floral pendant. The sleeves feature flared black bell cuffs, while the lower skirt consists of tiered dark green pleats. Every detail's layered texture demanded meticulous smoothing so that the character's distinct aura could emerge once fully donned.

For hair and makeup, to honor the character, I carefully trimmed and styled this light green wavy wig, focusing on the texture of the bangs and the gentle curve of the tips to ensure a natural flow. The makeup utilized blended reddish eyeshadow and deepened eyeliner paired with green contacts, sweeping a generous wash of pink blush across the cheeks to achieve a mysterious yet subtly innocent visual impression.

The key prop was a purple retro telephone handset wrapped in a coiled cord, which I customized with blue faux roses and a yellow ribbon bow to inject playful nuances. The shoot took place in an Autumn outdoor scene at a public park; that afternoon, the sunlight was gorgeous and leaves were already turning golden yellow. Standing on stone steps, I leveraged dappled tree shadows and warm natural illumination to give the frame an organic, narrative warmth.

To complement this attire, I crafted several deliberate poses. I tried holding the handset close to my cheek with my right hand while resting my left hand on a wooden railing and pointing forward, utilizing a low-angle upward perspective to heighten the composition's visual tension and sense of immersion. The blue-green faux roses entwined along the wooden railing echoed the decorations on the telephone prop. Because the garment materials are ornate and dense, making larger movements required constant vigilance over the lace tiers and skirt folds to ensure they fell with optimal drape and dimension before the lens. The entire shoot was deeply immersive; from outfit coordination to location scouting, every choice aimed to present the character's multidimensional charm through a vivid lens.
