[Izumi Sagiri Cosplay] Anime Convention Records and On-Site Photo Sharing

This photo is an anime convention photo taken right at the event venue, mainly showcasing the visual effect of this costume in the actual hall. The first close-up shot chooses a sitting pose, using the white plush carpet as a foreground to concentrate the focus on the character's expression and details. The second wide shot conveys the environment of the convention venue, where you can see the busy photographers and various lighting equipment in the background. In order to recreate the character's atmosphere, a silver-gray wig was selected this time. When managing the bangs, special attention was paid to the fluffiness of the edges, allowing them to drape naturally on both sides of the face. The contact lenses are paired with a translucent blue-green color, contrasting with the hair color. The makeup was minimized as much as possible, applying a light pink blush on the cheeks, paired with eye makeup to highlight the clarity of the gaze. This clean makeup combined with the wig presents an excellent texture under the overhead lights of the expo. This pink outfit with long sleeves is the highlight of the entire look. The fabric has a subtle satin luster, and the collar position features a clean white turn-down collar, forming a color boundary. Ruffled pleats are designed at the placket, cuffs, and hem, while adorned with small pink bows. The cuffs are tightened, paired with matte white over-knee socks, making the overall look quite refreshing. Without excessive post-processing, the pink color of this clothing is very soft, highly fitting the atmosphere of casual snapshots. Participating in such a large-scale anime convention, the venue lighting is quite chaotic, and the overhead lights are very harsh. Under such circumstances, it highly tests the photographer's light positioning. As seen in the background of Figure 2, many fellow photographers are shooting other costumed participants, and there are various softboxes and reflective umbrellas. In such an environment, capturing two photos with satisfying composition and natural lighting is truly not easy. Figure 1 chooses a posture sitting on the carpet, with hands slightly clasped in front of the chest, paired with a direct gaze at the lens, which looks quite approachable. Although this movement is simple, the tilt of the body and the placement angle of the arms need to be well managed in a landscape composition. Figure 2 features an action with both arms extended; although only the upper body has a relatively large movement amplitude, because the lower half is kneeling, core muscle strength is required to maintain balance. Although the passersby and other cosplayers in the background are blurred out, this authentic expo atmosphere is actually a very meaningful part of these convention photos. When doing cosplay and shooting anime convention photos, sometimes compared to studio shoots that absolutely pursue a perfect backdrop, I prefer to retain this environment that intersects with reality, as it records the authentic convention experience of that day. Walking around the convention all day, this outfit actually turned quite a few heads, and many people recognized the character. As a participant, besides dressing up as a favorite character, feeling the enthusiasm of fellow fans on-site is also very joyful. This shoot didn't intentionally pose in many complex angles, trying to ensure the character's natural feel as much as possible. I hope these simple and authentic convention photos can remain to recall the time of that day in the future.
