[Lancer Artoria Alter cosplay] Dark Purple Bunny Girl Vibes in a Fate Bar

This time, I tried a Lancer Artoria Alter cosplay in a bar setting, paired with a bright purple and black color-blocked bunny girl style outfit—a fresh deconstruction of the character's temperament. The costume design itself features rich materials, combining glossy leather with matte paneled fabrics, topped with a dark purple plush cape that creates rich visual layering. To match Lancer Artoria Alter's cold and distant vibe, I styled a silver-white wig, while the purplish-red ear hair accessories on top served as a striking highlight, making the overall silhouette pop even in a dark-toned scene.

This photo set chose an authentic retro wooden bar, where lighting mainly relied on several warm yellow tungsten lamps overhead to build atmosphere. This dim yet warm-toned ambiance actually poses quite a challenge for makeup and lighting in Cosplay photography. To ensure skin tone wasn't distorted by ambient lighting during the shoot, I chose a fair, matte foundation shade, focusing heavily on eye makeup to convey a sharp, tsundere expression. The highlight texture of silver hair strands under lights was excellent, forming a pleasing color contrast with the purple outfit.

As for poses, I really liked leaning against the bar counter in the first photo, with my left hand lightly holding a small item near my chin, which felt much more relaxed than forced posing. However, wearing high-heeled booties and a Fishnet tights outfit gets quite exhausting for feet when standing for a long time. Fishnet tights are an item frequently used in cosplay outfit design—it clearly contours leg lines and, paired with glossy high heels, visually elongates legs in the frame. I feel the most interesting aspect of this look is how it preserves the character's innate tough, aloof nature while adding touches of sensuality through costume tailoring—like cutout designs on both sides of the waist, which add visual lightness without feeling overly heavy.

During on-site shooting, the photographer constantly helped me adjust light placements. Because there were so many liquor bottles on the bar shelves, cluttered light could easily overwhelm the main subject; thus, we ultimately decided to tone down ambient light to emphasize the subject character. The pose in the second photo—stretching hands backward and lifting one leg—was intended to display the overall outfit tailoring and outer plush cape, though comparing them, the first photo offers a tighter composition and more focused perspective. The wig was treated to be smooth before shooting to avoid frizzy hair hassles, as the character setting's aura still requires a sense of seriousness.

When doing this kind of street or real-location Bar cosplay, I value environmental fusion above all else. The wooden bar, high stools, and liquor bottles on shelves inherently carry a languid urban nightlife vibe that, combined with this dark-toned outfit, creates a strong narrative sense. The entire shoot took about two to three hours—from changing clothes and adjusting wigs to trying poses repeatedly—and though venue lighting was quite hot, I persevered for the final results. This dark, cyberpunk, post-apocalyptic, or urban theme fits nicely with certain side-story atmospheres in the original Fate/Grand Order universe. This set underwent minimal heavy post-processing, mostly restoring the exact lighting state seen by the naked eye on set.
