This pink loungewear set combined with the silver-blue wig with blunt bangs is my complete state as Izumi Sagiri. To recreate Sagiri's soft 2D texture, the wig was chosen in a matte fiber material to prevent harsh reflections under strong light. I specially adjusted the position of the bow on top of my head so it sits exactly on the fullest area of the crown. Combined with the blunt bangs, it frames the face beautifully, making the look appear more youthful. For the twin-tails, I tried creating slight outward-flipped curls that aren't too neat, retaining a bit of realistic messiness to better fit her usual state of staying at home. Regarding costume details, this pink set features a large sailor collar and a bow tie at the chest. The fabric is a somewhat silky thin cloth that creases easily when sitting, so I had to flatten the hemline every time I changed poses to keep the frame neat. White socks paired with white shoes are the soul of the look; even if the toes are a little dusty, it actually makes it look more slice-of-life.
The lighting setup for this shoot required high brightness and low contrast overall, simulating the soft light environment of Japanese-style fresh Girl photography. By using large reflectors to soften shadows, we ensured no harsh dark areas on the face, beautifully bringing out Sagiri's fair-skinned yet pinkish complexion. During the shoot, we switched positions several timesāsitting cross-legged on the carpet, leaning slightly sideways with one hand supporting on the floor, and finally a dynamic standing pose. Every movement was about capturing Sagiri's slightly hesitant yet natural demeanor when facing the camera. The eye makeup was very light, focusing on concealing dark circles and an inconspicuous outer eyeliner, only highlighting the blue contact lenses. Since Sagiri herself is a girl whose gaze is often a bit vacant but lights up when she sees specific things, I also tried adjusting the focus of my eyes to look like I'm staring at the camera while maintaining a faint sense of detachment. The fun of doing a Sagiri cosplay lies in unearthing her compound attributes of a cute, soft exterior and a somewhat shy interior. The moment I put on this outfit felt truly magical, as if I were sharing a peaceful slice of daily life with her.
