[Flandre Scarlet Cosplay] Touhou Project Scarlet Devil Mansion's Gothic Fairy Tale Style Cosplay photoshoot

This set of Touhou Project Flandre Scarlet Cosplay photoshoot has finally been retouched, and today let's talk about the behind-the-scenes shooting and styling details of this set.

For the costume, I deliberately chose the classic red and white Lolita fashion. The outer layer is a red main skirt with hidden patterns, with multiple layers of white lace stacked at the neckline and cuffs, and a ruby brooch and a small red bow pinned to the chest. The lower body is a fluffy skirt hem, with a light blue ruffled inner lining. To ensure the layering of the skirt hem, I wore three layers of petticoats inside. In terms of makeup, to fit the character, the eye makeup was drawn relatively deep, wearing contact lenses, with a fair base makeup, matched with an orange-toned lipstick. The wig is bright orange-gold long straight hair, styled with straight bangs and long hair strands on both sides, paired with custom elf ears, establishing the overall styling firmly.

The scene arrangement for this shoot was done with great care. The studio used black and white checkerboard flooring, a large area of red curtains was pulled across the background, and black, red, and blue roses, monstera leaves, and entangled vines were arranged. In terms of lighting, the photographer used a cool-and-warm alternating lighting scheme, with the main light hitting the face, while cool blue light hit the legs, forming a visual cool-warm contrast that makes the character stand out more in the frame.

For the first picture, I chose a reclining pose, and this angle can well showcase the layering of the skirt hem and the White stockings, while the extension sense of the legs also makes the picture composition more tense. For the second picture, I sat on a metal stand holding a red apple in my hand, a prop that increases the storytelling feel of the image. During the shooting, I was thinking about how to show the setting of mystery and a hint of danger through my gaze and limbs. The third picture is a close-up of the picture frame, where I held a red ribbon and gently stroked my cheek, with the Baroque carvings of the picture frame serving as the foreground, creating a picture-in-picture visual effect. The fourth picture is a half-body close-up, focusing on displaying the lace details of the neck and the dark red gloves on the hands.

During the process of shooting this set of photos, I deeply realized the importance of color matching and lighting and shadow to atmosphere shaping. The integration of the red Lolita fashion with the dark background, as well as the reflective effect of the materials of the White stockings and skirt hem under the lights, all require careful observation and adjustment. Through repeated adjustments of posture and lighting angles, this fantasy fairytale and Gothic-style effect was finally presented. Every Cosplay photoshoot is a re-understanding of the character, and I hope everyone can feel my dedication to this styling from these details.
