For this Goddess of Victory: NIKKE Alice shoot, we staged the concept inside a pastel pink Claw machine. Because Alice naturally carries an ethereal, fairytale allure, the claw crane setup brilliantly amplified that dreamy yet subtly isolated atmosphere. The outfit paired a white lace slip dress with a sheer high-neck overlay, crowned by oversized plush bunny ears; to enrich visual layers, white strapping, White stockings, and lace leg warmers were styled across the arms and legs.

Shooting on location was far more challenging than anticipated. Space inside the machine cabinet was extremely tight. To execute the high-leg extension pose in Photo 1, my body was practically pressed flat against the glass while working to keep the skirt drape photogenic, flexing my core until I was trembling. Yet seeing the resulting frames made every strain worthwhile—the tension of stretching dynamically within cramped confines proved visually arresting. The metallic sheen of the pink heels and the plush rabbit props were curated carefully, lending structured contrast against the plush softness.

On set, I constantly calibrated my gaze and facial angles. Portraying a 2D anime heroine calls for a more heightened camera presence with laser-focused eyes. We decorated the interior with star decals and polka-dot gift boxes, which, illuminated by the pink integrated LED strips, gave the raw shots incredible atmospheric immersion right away.

Achieving this airy, fairytale glow demanded meticulous color work in post. Because the initial lighting was rather flat, I tweaked the color balance—lifting highlights gently while infusing magenta into the shadows to give the pink palette an airy, crystalline finish. For skin retouching, I preserved natural texture while refining facial light and shadow to showcase the dimensional Anime-style photography makeup, especially the catchlights and eye contouring. When retouching, avoiding an overly synthetic look is key; despite the stylized aesthetic, maintaining organic, lifelike presence is vital. From set design to styling, everything strived to mirror her blend of fantasy and mechanical charm, and I hope you love this creative venture!
