For this Convention photoshoot at the World Line Comic Convention, I chose to cosplay Konnosuke · Feiyan Swift General. To align with the character's non-human lore, I deliberately lightened my eyebrows for the makeup and wore bright blue contact lenses. The wig was styled as long, straight silver-white hair with a pale cyan gradient at the tips, tied into low twin tails on both sides and accented with silver spherical hair ornaments. The antlers and elf ears on top were the highlights of this styling, requiring continuous angle adjustments during the shoot to prevent the antlers from looking unnatural or misaligned in the frame. In terms of wardrobe, this outfit merges traditional national style with fantasy elements: the upper section features a mint-green mandarin-collar short-sleeved top with a chest cutout revealing the blue water-ripple patterned lining beneath. The light blue faux-fur on the shoulders paired with silver metallic pauldrons injected a touch of combat-ready sharpness. The high-slit blue maxi skirt on the lower half was a focal point of this shoot, adorned with white cloud prints along the hem. To channel the character's nimble agility, the pose choreography favored seated or knee-raised stances, which naturally showcased the over-the-knee white tights while letting the lines of the high-slit skirt drape gorgeously. The blue talisman prop in hand, inked with calligraphy and stamped with a red seal, added wonderful interactive energy when paired with poses like biting the talisman, making heart signs, or holding it toward the camera. Night photography places strict demands on lighting; to highlight garment textures and carve out the subject, the photographer used generous rim lights and key facial illumination. A pure black backdrop paired with warm yellow bokeh rendered an atmospheric mood with ease. When shooting outdoors on the lawn, the grassy slope and the background water surface required careful framing to keep the composition balanced. White tights tend to reflect glare under studio lights, requiring highlights to be slightly lowered in post-production to preserve fabric texture. Regarding eye makeup, to accentuate the fox's seductive charm, the eyeliner was subtly winged with red accents at the outer corners. Silver floral hairpins and red tassels interwoven among the hair strands enriched the layered styling. The gradient blue fluff on the shoulders tangled easily on location, requiring patient combing between takes. The silver pauldrons were actually custom-crafted from lightweight materials for ease of movement. The metallic cutout waist ornament and gemstone inlays served as finishing touches, sharply contouring waist curves. The talisman prop was rich in texture, with calligraphy strokes and the red seal remaining crisp even under macro framing. Poses biting the talisman required gentle lip pressure to avoid leaving lipstick marks while keeping facial expressions relaxed. While seated, pairing the high-slit skirt with white tights required precise control of leg lines to embody allure without appearing forced. The sitting pose in Photo 6 was adjusted four or five times before being finalized, forming an angle between thigh and calf that allowed the white tights to catch a beautiful sheen under dim light. Outdoor night shooting took place on park grass; because the skirt was long, sitting on the ground required keeping stray blades of grass off the hem. Night lighting tested the photographer's mastery: this set utilized two lights—a key light to illuminate facial features and wardrobe nuances, and a rim light to sculpt bodily contours against the dark void. During shooting, I channeled the character's cool yet subtly playful demeanor. The tail prop was clipped to the back of the waist, requiring conscious effort to maintain its natural curved arc rather than letting it droop stiffly. From the final selects, the harmony between props and makeup was seamless, and the lines of the white tights and legs achieved the desired aesthetic. This styling held countless fine details, demanding immense patience from wig trimming to accessory placement, and I look forward to experimenting with more diverse action choreography next time.
