[Kanao cosplay] Demon Slayer World Line Anime Convention wraps up, returning home full of joy

Today was the final day of the World Line Anime Convention, and also the last time in the near future that I'll appear before everyone as Kanao. When I received these two sets of convention photos, my heart was truly filled with satisfaction. As the photographer's shutter froze the moment, that quiet girl holding a butterfly and wearing a purplish-pink scabbard seemed to gain a flash of vitality once again.

I actually put a lot of thought into the makeup, styling, and props for this Kanao cosplay. The black side-swept bangs with twin tails, combined with the red-and-white butterfly hair accessory, are the iconic elements of the character. The white cloak jacket intentionally preserved its original subtle pattern texture, paired with the black Demon Slayer Corps uniform and a white belt, making the overall black-and-white contrast very clean. The most eye-catching part is this prop sword; the pink diamond patterns on the scabbard are highly accurate, and with the golden tsuba (guard) and the hilt wrapped in white diamond bindings, it feels very substantial in hand. Whether held horizontally or vertically during the shoot, it looks incredibly imposing.

The atmosphere at this Chengdu Anime Convention was exceptionally wonderful. Over the course of two days, I received so many freebies and gifts from fellow fans, spreading across the table just like in the photo. It included not only exquisite blessing cards handwritten by everyone, custom badges, and postcards, but even hand-drawn clear cards and small pins. Among them, that small blue butterfly prop was incredibly delicate; holding it as a prop for photos fit the original character's setting perfectly. I also received lots of snacks, like hawthorn sticks and milk candies—packing them up to bring home felt like celebrating the New Year. Although everyone knows the final chapter is nearing its end, looking at these fan-made goods built out of love and sincerity, you can truly feel everyone's deep affection for this work.

Of course, I also want to share a few small details from this convention. While maintaining the character's accuracy, walking around the convention venue in this outfit is actually quite a test of physical endurance, especially with the waist gear and the prop sword; long periods of standing and walking made the shoot a bit exhausting. However, being able to perfectly orchestrate the desired feeling made it all worthwhile. In the photo where I'm holding up the butterfly prop, under the coordination of gaze and movement, a trace of that quiet and focused temperament unique to the character was captured.

Now that the convention has come to a successful close, the self in the photos is permanently frozen in this moment of July 2026. Although I might not be able to meet everyone as Kanao again in the short term, I am already incredibly eager for the next World Line, the next convention, and the new challenges and joys brought by another character. This set of convention photos serves as a perfect conclusion to this period of time. Every shoot is a process of getting in close contact with the character, and I truly enjoy this experience of being immersed in the world of the work. The photographer's framing angles were amazing, and the bright weather gave the entire set of photos a cool yet gentle color tone, beautifully reflecting the character's temperament.
