Putting on this standard deep blue sailor uniform and wearing the plush beret, I instantly found that indifference and composure belonging to Megumi Kato. This shoot was specially set in a classroom scene, where the blackboard, lockers, and scattered volleyballs and soccer balls brought a lively breath of casual school life. To stay closer to the character's trait of 'seemingly inconspicuous but actually controlling the whole scene,' I intentionally designed some slightly playful postures in the movementsāsuch as sitting on the locker swinging my legs, leaning against the edge of the locker with one hand to look back, or picking up a piece of chalk pretending to write and draw on the blackboard, deliberately bringing out a hint of little devil-like teasing, yet without losing her original calm and gentle baseline. The photographer's lighting was very soft, beautifully restoring the fabric texture of the uniform and the grain of the hair strands; with the classic straight black hair and straight bangs, it really doesn't take too many expressions to convey the character's charm. Speaking of props, the chalk in my hand is actually a great little easter egg, using it to coordinate with some pausing and pointing movements to add another layer of storytelling to the frame. The fabric of this School JK uniform is crisp, the layers of the pleated skirt are very distinct, and paired with over-the-knee black socks and thick-soled leather shoes, the overall visual is clean and sharp. During the shoot, we also tried many different camera angles, from close-up gaze shots to full shots showing the whole body's posture. The final set of photos picked out captured the state of the 2D heroine from Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend in my mindāboth lazy and clever. As a coser who loves to study details, being able to slightly amplify the character's everyday life through the lens with a touch of effortless composure is truly a great sense of accomplishment in this roleplay.
