This time, I tried the Gardener in her Strange Bird outfit. Everyone mentioned that she comes with her own BGM when decoding; in fact, when I was crafting the props and adjusting my breathing rhythm, I did indeed find a sense of oppression as if being inside the game. Although "having more confidence when kiting the hunter" is just a joke, when you really put on a textured costume and wear a heavy metal headpiece, the soul of that character seems to genuinely slip into your body.

Let's first talk about the eye makeup and visual effects that I am most satisfied with this time. That yellow-green pupil is the visual anchor of the entire frame. To present this sharp yet slightly dangerous aura, we repeatedly adjusted the wearing angle of the colored contact lens and the depth of the shadows around the eye sockets. The tear-like cracks on the lower eyelid were hand-painted, paired with slight skin texture blending. This was actually not just a random scribble, but painted in combination with this grotesque yet gorgeous visual setting. The small golden dot effects around it were researched by me and the post-processing artist, aiming to create a feeling like stardust or mysterious light spilling down, and the final presentation indeed gave the entire photo a unique texture.

The hair part did not use a particularly neat wig style, but deliberately retained this broken hair and frizzy texture. Because the Gardener herself carries that trait of knocking about in the manor, an overly exquisite styling would instead weaken the character's inner tension. To go with this hairstyle, I specially wore a metal crown with a heavy visual presence. Its weight is quite substantial, which was a small test for the cervical spine during the shoot, but it was precisely this weight that helped me control my shoulder and neck lines very well, naturally bringing out that elegant yet sharp aura when the photos came out.

Let's talk about the contribution of photographer 巧克力. The close-up shot of the face captured in a deep environment in Figure 1 relies entirely on the sense of rhythm between the two of us. A large number of white and gold circular bokeh spots were created through lens defocus and reflection, making the contours of the face softer and carrying a dreamlike atmosphere. Moving on to Figure 2, we adjusted the light source and switched to a strong sidelight, making the boundary between light and dark distinct. The light hitting the metal jewelry flashed brilliant highlights, forming a sharp visual contrast with the shadows on the cheeks, a contrast that beautifully built up that cold, mysterious temperament.

In terms of post-processing, 曳尾蝶 has always been learning digital painting. The post-processing of this photo also integrates a lot of her own understanding of the layering of light and shadow color blocks, keeping the overall tone clean and premium, unlike pure photos that feel thin.

Shooting this kind of Cosplay photography session with a dark or Gothic atmosphere took more than a month of preparation from beginning to end. From prop matching to meticulous makeup, and then to finding the right light and shadow on location, every link was mutually fulfilling. When you treat a character earnestly, you can naturally transmit that aura through the lens.
