[Cartethyia Cosplay] Outdoor Grassland Photoshoot Record of the Wuthering Waves Blonde Elf

The final photos of this Cartethyia Cosplay are finally ready today! This shoot took place on an outdoor lawn without elaborate studio setups, relying entirely on natural sunlight to create a translucent, airy feel. The blonde elf look is truly unique; Long blonde hair reaching down to the thighs easily catches reflections under the sun, so before setting out, I meticulously styled the hair flow and applied plenty of setting spray. The headpiece features a white branch structure adorned with blue feathers, along with extended Elf ears attached to my ears. The fit of these Elf ears is critical—it took considerable time using skin wax and alcohol-activated adhesive to blend the edges seamlessly, preventing any awkward seams from showing under side lighting.

The outfit has rich layers: black leather accents interwoven into a predominantly white base, complemented by an outer sheer cape with a blue gradient. Sheer fabrics tend to cling to the legs when blown by the wind, so an assistant had to help adjust the hem during the shoot to let the cape drape naturally. Moving around in this costume required extra caution, as the metal clasps and straps could easily loosen with slight tugs. Walking across the grass in clear high-heeled sandals was quite tricky since the heels sank into the soil, forcing me to tiptoe delicately every time I repositioned.

As for the Greatsword prop, the blade has a textured silver finish, the crossguard is decorated with intricate golden ornaments, and the hilt is blue. While stunning, this greatsword is genuinely heavy, requiring constant wrist strength to hold with one hand. To achieve natural sword-wielding poses, I experimented with multiple grips. In the first shot, kneeling on one knee holding the sword horizontally with both hands, I had to tense my arm muscles to keep the blade from trembling. In the second shot, sitting on the ground with legs extended, the sword rested flat beside me while showcasing the spread of the blue-and-white gradient cape. The third shot featured kneeling on one knee holding the hilt upright, demanding an upright neck and shoulder posture. In the final shot, sitting on the grass with the sword resting horizontally across my lap, light filtered through the leaves to create beautiful rim lighting and backlighting.

Side backlighting places high demands on facial definition, so the makeup emphasized blue contact lenses and soft reddish-pink blending around the eyes, with a sheer base to keep it from looking cakey in bright light. The final photos preserve authentic skin texture without excessive smoothing, creating a pleasing contrast between the lush green grass and the warm tones of the Long blonde hair. Outdoor shoots are physically demanding, but seeing the resulting texture, light, and shadow makes all the preparation and adjustments worthwhile.
