Because this Ancient Egyptian style cat-girl styling wasn't faithful enough to the original design, I decided not to include the original game tags and just post the photos with an apology. Since I knew before shooting that my portrayal of Ankha (Ankha cosplay) was limited, I simply styled the set according to my own preferences, shooting it as an original 2D-inspired photoshoot.
The main prop used for the shoot was a massive carved golden picture frame. This frame was genuinely heavy, requiring two people to lift and move, and was prone to scratching if it touched the ground. Hanging behind the frame were numerous golden string curtains; untangling and straightening them took quite some time because they easily tangled together. The bottom was draped in dark blue velvet fabric sprinkled with prop pearls; the velvet easily attracted dust, so we specially cleaned it once more before shooting.
For the outfit, I chose a white tube top dress with a wide golden belt, paired with long dark blue arm covers on the outside and golden strappy high heels on my feet. I didn't wear stockings, deliberately choosing high heels to accentuate the leg lines for a Sexy look. The wig was bright Blue hair with blunt bangs; the cat Animal ears on top were crafted from fabric, styled with a generous amount of hairspray, and adorned with golden ornaments in the center. The tail was color-blocked faux fur in blue and yellow, heavier than expected, needing to be securely fastened around my waist so it wouldn't drop.
We shot three poses in total for this set. The two crouching on the velvet fabric accentuated bust contours well, but crouching for a long time made my legs numb, and the skirt hem easily spread out, requiring constant readjusting. My favorite was the standing shot used as the cover. Leaning against the picture frame with one leg slightly bent not only fully displayed leg length, but also highlighted the waistline and overall spatial depth. With the frame in the background and the standing pose centered in the frame, the composition was very well balanced. When lighting smoke pellets on set, smoke swirled around; to achieve this soft-edged hazy effect, the lighting took quite a while to adjust.
During post-processing, I deliberately preserved the golden light fringe and the details of the picture frame without excessive skin smoothing. Because the hair was bright Blue hair, I enhanced the contrast when processing the dress and skin tones. Although it's admittedly a bit OOC for an Ankha cosplay, I really liked the overall blue-and-gold color palette. Cleaning up props at the end resulted in pearls scattering all over the floor—picking them up took quite a while, making for an unforgettable wrap-up.
