Shooting this Remielle cosplay outfit from Zenless Zone Zero at 4 AM has become a quite familiar time slot. I'm used to the stillness right before darkness fades, along with that special light texture present only under indoor dim light.

The white main tone of this cosplay costume mixed with blue-purple color blocking exudes a special sense of lightness under indoor lights at early morning. Mirror selfie is a lazy way to handle composition well—as long as the mirror is wiped clean, one can use the reflected sense of extension to lengthen overall proportions for an Anime girl look.

Today's choice of a gold-trimmed arched mirror with rounded borders unexpectedly complemented the white-and-blue dominant costume well alongside the wooden door frame, adding a touch of vintage warmth to the cool-toned image. No need to go to a specialized studio or haul heavy lights and backdrop boards—a corner of home allows for over an hour of self-entertaining tweaks. Garment pleats, feather angles, tiny bows on sock garters... every detail is actually repeatedly adjusted to reach the current effect. The wings have many feather layers; to avoid looking bulky, they need to be manually combed before shooting so they drape naturally.

With every turn and adjustment, care must be taken so the blue ribbons at the waist and the wings behind don't tangle—a hidden difficulty with this type of costume. In pressing the shutter time and again, one gradually finds the most natural and relaxed state. Securing the cross hair piece on top of the head also requires technique: pressing down onto pink strands without standing out abruptly while keeping a neat look. As for the crisscross straps on the chest, special care must be taken not to wear them too tightly, otherwise maintaining specific poses will constrict breathing.

The overall texture belonging to this character from Zenless Zone Zero was ultimately converted into these far-from-perfect photos in the mirror through repeated mirror comparisons and light capturing. I don't pursue flawless post-processing perfection; that slightly raw sense of daily life represents the truest me right now. Wearing this heavy costume and having a quiet dialogue with myself in the still early hours is a wonderful experience in itself.
