Shooting this Reze set at FLOTA Floating Tower took genuine dedication in terms of location scouting and lighting. As a cosplayer, I communicated with the photographer early during preparations, hoping to leverage the environment's inherent moody, dim ambiance to match the slightly dangerous yet alluring essence of Chainsaw Man.

For the styling, to faithfully recreate Reze, I prepared the iconic purple short wig paired with green contact lenses; this color contrast proved exceptionally striking before the lens. For the outfit, I chose a black off-the-shoulder form-fitting mini dress paired with a black choker around the neck, accented with glossy stockings edged in black lace and black patent-leather stiletto heels. Combining these pieces not only traced the body's silhouette, but more importantly, the reflections bouncing off the glossy textures under directional light provided vital visual focal points. The off-the-shoulder cut neatly revealed collarbone contours, harmonizing with the choker to elongate the neckline. To serve the shoot, I explored various poses—whether crossing legs while seated on the mesh-textured sofa or interacting with desserts while holding a spoon, striving to channel the character's languid yet faintly assertive demeanor. To keep the wig's volume, I continuously restyled it between takes, and makeup touch-ups were constant; in a low-key setting, facial and neck contours depend heavily on crisp makeup and calculated light.

The shooting environment was set within the Floating Tower Afternoon Tea lounge, beautifully styled in vintage decor. Dark sofas, a red patterned carpet, and a backdrop featuring screens with circular bas-reliefs alongside refrigerated display cases provided rich, layered depth. Ambient light was subdued on set, but precisely because of this, frontal fill lighting cleanly lifted the subject away from the dark backdrop. The photographer was remarkably adept at freezing intimate details—such as the arch of the stilettos resting on the carpet or the subtle sheen of the stockings under faint light. I especially love the casual feeling of the handbag resting beside my leg in the second photo; that unforced, natural ease aligned perfectly with an everyday date atmosphere. Although holding poses in slender high heels was exhausting, witnessing the interplay of light, shadow, and tactile textures in the final shots made every effort worthwhile.

Throughout the Chongqing photoshoot booking, we also explored numerous varied perspectives. For example, utilizing high- and low-angle shots to shift dynamic tension, or employing foreground desserts and furniture to enhance depth of field. I paid close attention to the dessert cups and wooden organizers on the table, using these props to make movements feel organic—such as resting a small spoon against my lips or draping an arm over the sofa's backrest. A stellar cosplay piece isn't merely an assemblage of clothing, but an organic fusion of expression, physical posture, and scenic atmosphere. When adjusting posture, I minded keeping my shoulders relaxed and holding a touch of aloof distance in my gaze to communicate the character's distinct aura. This afternoon tea moment at FLOTA Floating Tower captured my personal interpretation of the character, leaving behind a truly treasured visual memory.
