I found an apartment activity room in London for this Kakegurui shoot, and to my surprise, the atmosphere was perfectly nailed! I originally thought it would be difficult to operate without a professional studio, but the photographer's clever ideas combined with the texture of the apartment itself really produced very high-end visual effects. The makeup and outfit for this Jabami Yumeko set have great tension under the neon lights, especially the improvisation during interactions, which captured many dynamic moments. This shooting experience of excavating a cinematic feel from a living space is really great, completely breaking the ingrained impression that "no studio means no results." Although it was an indoor shoot, the oppressive and gorgeous feeling on the gambling table was not inferior to a professional studio at all. The intertwining of the red sofa and neon light shadows created the high-stakes gambling atmosphere to the extreme. I am truly satisfied with this final set of photos. Constantly trying different angles and light-shadow changes in a limited venue, and finding creative inspiration in London life—the sense of surprise generated in this spatial transformation is probably the most fascinating part of cosplay.
