To faithfully recreate this futuristic idol performance outfit, the prep work was actually quite intricate. The wig was a gradient green-gold tone; after receiving it, I trimmed the bangs, braided the side plait, and accessorized it with pearl hair ornaments and colorful small clips, while adding volume to the crown so the overall silhouette fit the anime aesthetic better. For the makeup, to enlarge the eyes, I blended pink eyeshadow with purplish-gray colored contacts, applied a heavier blush, and finished with glossy lip glaze to appear more vibrant on camera.
The outfit consists of a white crop top and shorts, layered with sheer, shimmering tulle. Wearing it required adjusting many details, such as the colorful bow on the chest, the wide black waist belt, and the teal-and-black dual-tone belt. The puffy arm sleeves with metal buckles are separate accessories; while they slightly restricted hand movement, they added a distinct stage presence. Since the midriff is completely exposed, I had to keep my core tight and chest up throughout the shoot. The tailoring leaves little room to hide, so I was glad I got into good shape before shooting.
During the shoot, I used a white microphone as a prop, truly feeling like an idol ready to sing and dance on stage. Because I wore platform boots with shorts and a leg ring, I paid special attention to elongating my leg lines—like extending my legs forward when sitting on a stool or leaning slightly to emphasize the waistline. To make the photos feel dynamic, I designed peace signs and greeting gestures, imagining myself right under the spotlight. Transitioning from being stiff initially to gradually getting into character was a fun experience. To match the solid background, the lighting was high-key and bright, highlighting the outfit's texture.
Overall, this stage outfit feels crisp and refreshing. While based on pure white, the teal and pink accents keep it from looking monotonous. The hair accessories and the pearl necklace also elevate its delicate feel. Even though the short cut meant constantly being cautious about wardrobe slips and minding the tulle hem, the final outcome turned out incredibly textured. Debuting in this new persona brought a lot of novelty, and expressing this Wuthering Waves girl group style offered a fresh challenge in front of the camera. From choreographing poses to managing facial expressions, I worked hard to capture that energetic stage-style cosplay vibe. I tried to stay relaxed and present myself naturally, hoping everyone can feel the charm of this costume, which makes all the preparation worthwhile. I'm genuinely pleased with the final result.
