I prepared for this Wuthering Waves Qingxiao cosplay shoot for quite a long time. From receiving the costume to final photo delivery, many details were fine-tuned. First, regarding the convention schedule everyone has been asking about: I will be at CICF on both the 2nd and the 3rd—in the Official Guest Area on the 2nd, at the Scenic Set signing area on the 3rd, and also dropping by the Hall 5 signing zone for the Convention autograph signing. I've prepared brand-new merchandise featuring the gap moe master theme for this event.
In terms of hair and makeup, the character Qingxiao has an intense aloof aura, making blue contact lenses and pink-toned eye makeup the core. I trimmed the bangs of the wig to boost fluffiness along the sides, selecting translucent blue hair ornaments to echo the crystal-ice aesthetic. The costume is a blue-and-white Traditional Chinese style cosplay design with exquisitely crafted mandarin collars and frog buttons; the golden embroidery and cyan tassels offer rich visual layering on camera.
The White tights cosplay pairing was specially selected with a subtle, sheer sheen. Blended with the light blue skirt hem, it injects a touch of gap moe charm into the predominantly serene, aloof mood. The silver armbands and star ornaments on the hands also add lovely accents. As for the prop, that translucent blue sword was a massive project. To achieve a texture reminiscent of rippling water or carved ice, the coating underwent repeated adjustments. The blade carries considerable weight; keeping a stable grip while maintaining the character's tranquil demeanor was a true test of core strength.
The set dressing utilized wooden folding screens, blue-and-pink floral arrangements, and flowing gauze drapes. Lighting leaned cool-toned, accentuated by a circular moon lamp placed behind to build ambiance. For the shot sitting cross-legged while forming hand seals, the layered interaction between the white tights and the flowing gauze of the skirt hem turned out exceptionally satisfying.
The entire shoot was an uncompromising grind over every detail. Whether tracking wig flow or adjusting blade grip angles, every choice aimed to recreate the character's inherent aesthetic. This gap moe concept was expressed not only through costume coordination, but also via conscious facial expression control: moving beyond a purely austere master persona to weave softer elements into the eyes and micro-expressions. I hope everyone enjoys this Wuthering Waves Qingxiao cosplay. Looking forward to connecting with everyone on-site at the convention to swap notes on photography and styling!
