The details of this Lucy costume had been on my planning list for a while, and today I finally got the whole set of gear on. From the gradient processing of the wig to the tailoring of the clothing, a lot of thought went into every single part. The hair color gradient transitions from light purple to pink and light green at the ends; to restore that cyber-era sci-fi feel, the wig was trimmed for an entire afternoon. In terms of makeup, the blue-grey circle lenses are the soul, paired with upturned eyeliner and a deep red lip color, which can well highlight the character's cold and glamorous temperament.

The shooting location was chosen next to the glass railing of the shopping mall, which inherently brings a modernized, cold, and hard feel. The material of the clothing is a real test for angles and lighting during shooting. The upper body is a black-and-white color-blocked off-shoulder design, inner-layered with a black high-cut bodysuit adorned with red geometric lines. This outer white short jacket actually has a texture somewhat similar to waterproof fabric, producing a slight diffuse reflection under the lighting so it doesn't look too flat. The white arm sleeves on the arms and the black line prints at the shoulders were also matched bit by bit during the fitting session.

The lower body design was quite a challenge for me. The wide black belt paired with the side techwear square waist pouch not only adds a sense of overall utility, but also visually cinches the waistline. The high-cut tailoring paired with the white base edging requires special care when walking to prevent wardrobe malfunctions. The black long stockings or leg sleeves on the legs have a very thick texture, which can nicely shape the leg lines. To capture a good side profile, I tried leaning against the railing, putting my center of gravity on one leg, which naturally highlights the waist-to-hip ratio.

Indoor lighting is quite messy, with many warm-toned light boxes and cool-toned ambient light. The photographer used a large aperture to blur these light spots in the background, creating a cyberpunk atmosphere similar to neon lights. When shooting the side-profile head-turn action, it is necessary to keep the shoulder and neck lines relaxed, while the gaze must carry that casual yet slightly guarded feel without looking too stiff. The head-tilted-up shot was meant to showcase the lines of the neck and chin, which, combined with the draping feel of the hair strands, can create a lonely yet arrogant atmosphere.

The entire shooting process relied heavily on adjusting the state of the costume; for instance, even a slight offset in the waist pouch's position would affect the overall proportions. When cosplaying usually, what I care about most is the wig styling and prop details. The material of this outfit leans on the heavier side; while the temperature indoors was comfortable during the shoot, staying in poses for too long still easily caused sweating. This time we captured some very satisfying angles, where the contrast of light and shadow cast on the black clothes and white jacket just happened to match the character's feeling in the anime of wandering between the dark night and technology.
