At the Zhuhai anime convention at Legend Ponto Square, I finally brought this maid outfit look of Corin Wickes offline. As a character with a huge contrast in personality in Zenless Zone Zero, recreating this styling actually required considering many details, including the hairstyle, costume materials, and those mechanical accessories. This shoot was captured by Kiana Freeman. Before the shoot, we made different shooting plans for Corin's various states, and the atmosphere of the final photos aligns very well with my understanding of this character.

Let's talk about the hair and makeup first: the mint-green wig needed to be styled into fluffy twintails, and fixing the black bows and headpiece on both sides took more effort than expected. To fit Corin's facial features, I chose light blue-purple colored contacts, emphasizing the elongated eyeliner and an overall subtle flushed makeup look. It's worth mentioning that the headband on Corin's head features a white base with a green cross pattern; though small, this detail serves as a finishing touch in the overall maid outfit, providing more authentic recognizability for the character.

Now let's talk about the key costume and props this time. The upper body of this maid dress features plenty of leather fabric and black bow decorations, with a black gear-like ornament at the chest area. The apron is printed with light green dotted grids and the iconic black cross pattern on the bottom right. I especially love the pair of silver-gray metallic bracers on the arms, paired with black studded leather straps, striking just the right balance between the delicacy of the wrists and the ruggedness of machinery.

The most highlight prop was none other than that giant circular chainsaw weapon. As Corin's signature equipment, this prop turned plenty of heads at the convention. Its craftsmanship is very fine, complete with green mechanical arms, white markings, a serrated saw disc, and orange grip components. To maintain balance while holding it up, I practiced several weapon-carrying postures. Although carrying it around various corners of the convention was indeed a bit tiring, seeing the handsome back profile holding it in the photos made all that effort worthwhile. In addition, there was a modified-style little teddy bear; besides stitching details, the red shattered core on its chest is a major highlight, perfectly restoring Corin's soft inner side when held in arms.

This photoshoot took place at Legend Ponto Square, where the European retro architecture clashed with Corin's hardcore maid outfit to create a fascinating visual contrast. For lighting, Kiana Freeman deliberately used hard light to enhance the texture of the costume, creating sharp shadow edges that give off a comic-book feel. During shooting, I tried an aloof standing pose carrying the weapon, a casual pose sitting on a blue flight case showing long legs, and a girlish state holding the teddy bear. My favorite, actually, is that posture standing while carrying the chainsaw with legs slightly bent, which showcases both the boots and leg markings while highlighting the unique combat elements of this outfit. Finally, when selecting photos, the low-angle shot in Photo 1 is extremely impactful; the coordination of leg details and foreground props makes the visual focus of the entire frame stand out, making it my most satisfying shot and perfect as a cover photo.

Today's convention experience was very fulfilling, and the atmosphere of Legend Ponto Square gave this look plenty of room for expression. Whether discussing lighting and composition with the photographer or interacting with other cosplayers on-site, this immersive Cosplay convention photos experience always brings immense joy. Dedicating myself to preparing the detailed gear this time has also deepened my understanding and love for this character.
