[Chihaya Anon cosplay] BanG Dream! It's MyGO!!!!! Pink guitar and stage dream

This Chihaya Anon cosplay was the most tightly scheduled yet dedicated preparation I've had recently. From deciding to cosplay this character to actually executing it, there were less than two weeks, so the whole process was very rushed. To ensure accuracy, wig trimming took a full two nights, especially the curvature of the blunt bangs and sideburns, which I repeatedly adjusted several times to achieve a natural drape. In terms of makeup, to fit Anon's slightly showy and beauty-loving personality, I deliberately chose bright blue contact lenses, paired with black thick-rimmed cat-eye glasses, a touch of micro-shimmer pink eyeshadow, and a high-gloss pink lip tint for the lips. The base makeup strove to be clean and translucent, because Anon's skin texture in the animation is delicate, and heavy blemishes were not allowed.

Regarding the clothing, a blue-and-white plaid vest dress paired with a white high-collared shirt, with three small black buttons at the neckline as the finishing touch. The circular badge at the waist of the skirt and the details on the back couldn't be sloppy either; to make it look more three-dimensional, I added a layer of stiff interlining inside. The cross-body purple instrument strap is printed, and paired with that light blue electric guitar, the overall visual coordination is great. This guitar is actually heavier than imagined; carrying it on one shoulder for an entire afternoon left my shoulders a bit sore, but in front of the lens, I had to maintain the fullest state, so I kept adjusting my standing posture and arm angles, trying to form a nice geometric composition between the guitar body and my body, avoiding the headstock blocking the face or a visual disconnect between the guitar and the clothes.

For the character Anon, many people's first impression is that she is a bit vain, wants to stand out by forming a band, or even wants to be the lead vocalist. But when pondering the character, I was more touched by her longing for the stage and her unyielding tenacity. She went from a novice with immature skills to step-by-step practice until she could capably handle the position of the band's guitarist; this process is actually very similar to the mental journey of many cosplayers starting from scratch to make clothes, learn makeup, and study characters. Therefore, during the on-site shooting, I specially designed a few actions, such as the classic V-sign, hand resting on the glasses frame, and leaning forward slightly while holding the guitar, hoping to convey that energy and confidence belonging to a girl band. During the shoot, I communicated with the photographer about lighting, shadows, and focal lengths; the natural light from the outdoor convention mixed with the overhead light of the indoor venue, making the captured skin tone look very translucent.

The environment at the convention site was quite noisy, with many passersby and booths in the background, but once standing in front of the lens and picking up the guitar, nothing was left in my mind except how to showcase Anon's cool yet cute traits. The convention photos are basically unedited raw images with minor color-tone unification, preserving the real atmosphere of the scene. Cosplaying to me is not just exterior imitation, but also a process of experiencing the character's inner world. Today's styling was recognized by quite a few fellow fans at the venue, and everyone exchanged understandings of this work, creating a wonderful atmosphere. Although the entire shooting process was tiring, seeing the effect of the finished photos made me feel that previous preparations were not in vain. Next, I might consider putting other characters from the same series on the agenda, striving to complete the entire MyGO roster.
