The character I cosplayed for this convention was Yin Ziping from NARAKA: BLADEPOINT, choosing her 'Chalcedony ice core' skin. The in-game 3D model for this skin is already delightful, and tailoring it into a real-life cosplay outfit gave it the silhouette of a modernized cheongsam. It incorporates a cinched waistline and a shortened skirt hem, balancing ease of movement with visual screen-accuracy. The main body of the dress is white with subtle silver-grey jacquard patterns, cleanly bordered with black piping. The chest cutout serves as an eye-catching highlight, which I accented with a black collar bow and pearl trims to keep it from looking plain. The layered skirt features interior lace and outer ruffles, showing off graceful movement and depth as I walked.

For the wig, I went with long straight black hair with blunt bangs styled into twin tails. The two white headpieces on the crown were hand-crafted, embellished with tassels and lace edging to echo the garment's texture. To complement the cool palette of Chalcedony ice core, I chose vivid light-blue contact lenses, deepening the eyeshadow and blush slightly—lighting conditions inside convention halls tend to be chaotic, and without bolder makeup, photos can easily look washed out and tired.

For the lower half, I styled over-the-knee white Stockings with transparent high-heeled sandals. Pairing over-the-knee socks with a mini skirt visually elongates leg proportions, but walking around an expo hall often makes the tops slide down, so I applied anti-slip skin tape beforehand. Walking across convention floors in transparent high heels gets tiring over time, though fortunately the ground at the Nanning Liangya ACG Expo venue was quite smooth.

The white folding fan in my hand was one of the core soul props of this look. The leaf of the fan is cut with openwork patterns that harmonize seamlessly with the lace details of the dress when unfurled. During shooting, the fan worked wonderfully not just as a foreground element, but also anchored various poses—whether raising an arm high while standing or resting it across my lap while seated, it kept poses fluid rather than stiff. The convention photographer was great at candid framing and desaturated the background in editing, allowing the crisp white dress and character to pop with a pure, ethereal aura.

In fact, when playing NARAKA: BLADEPOINT, Yin Ziping has long been my main hero. Everyone often jokes that healers are the 'moms' of the team, and chasing teammates around to heal them in-game definitely feels like mothering. But at the convention, I wanted to bring out her nimble, serene, and aloof charm. The palette of Chalcedony ice core is inherently clean and elegant, requiring no overly intricate acrobatics; standing quietly or resting gracefully with the folding fan is more than enough to capture the mood.

Shooting convention photos at the Nanning Liangya ACG Expo let me run into so many fellow NARAKA: BLADEPOINT players, and hearing people recognize the character made my day. Getting fully dressed and styled took roughly two hours, with extra time spent changing and touching up makeup on-site. With an all-white costume, the biggest worry is always getting it smudged, so I stayed extra cautious during breaks. Overall, bringing Chalcedony ice core to life met all my expectations; both the drape of the fabric and the precision of the accessories held up under the camera's scrutiny. Given the chance, I look forward to trying out more game characters in diverse styles and continuing to pull those gorgeous 3D models straight into reality.
