[Chihaya Anon Cosplay] A Pink-Toned Outdoor Shoot Under Night Streetlights - Image 1

This shoot used a Canon R8 paired with an RF28-70mm F2 lens, and the overall output quality is very solid. Choosing an outdoor cafe at night to shoot this Chihaya Anon cosplay was because I wanted to create a warm yet everyday atmosphere using the streetlights and the background bokeh. The pink wig is a custom soft pink, with the bangs' length and curve re-trimmed. To match the character's slightly playful yet sincere temperament, I specially thinned out the hair ends to make the overall look lighter.

In terms of makeup, the base was applied quite clearly and brightly; because night light sources are complex, it's necessary to ensure facial smoothness. The eye makeup was the focus, using light pink and pale purple eyeshadow to blend at the outer corners and lower eyelids, paired with light blue contact lenses to give the gaze a more focused feel. The blush selected was a cream type in a more orangey-pink shade, swept across a large area of the face center, and then brightened under the eyes with matte highlighter, so that even under warm-colored streetlights, the three-dimensionality of the face wouldn't be lost. The lip makeup used a very natural rose-colored lip glaze, without deliberately drawing lip lines, making the lips look softer.

The outfit was paired with a gray-and-white plaid vest dress and a white lantern-sleeve shirt, with the pleat details at the neckline and cuffs being well on point, and the overall pattern is very slimming. During the shoot, I intentionally rested my chin on my hand and looked towards the lens to give the frame a sense of interaction. This RF28-70 lens delivers very round and beautiful bokeh light spots under the F2 large aperture, and the sharpness of the figure is incredibly high, with the details of the eyelashes and hair strands perfectly preserved. Post-processing just slightly adjusted the white balance to make the skin tone more natural, without doing excessive skin smoothing, retaining some skin texture to keep it more real.

Actually, what I enjoy most about cosplay photography is the process of restoring the character in a specific scene, without needing too many exaggerated movements—a simple gesture and gaze can transmit their personality. Although it was a bit cold outside at night during this outdoor shoot, the final photos turned out very satisfying. We tried several different light angles on set, and finally selected this one with hands cradling the chin, because I felt it best fit the character's casual and cute feel. I hope to shoot more of these atmospheric night portrait photos in the future.
