[Serika cosplay] The tsundere kitty from Blue Archive, here I am!

The photos from Guangzhou CPSP are finally sorted out, featuring this blue uniform and cat ears set that I absolutely love. During the shoot, I kept thinking about how to capture that tsundere balance—sharp-tongued on the outside, yet reliable in action. The wig has a dark blue gradient fading into purple tips, which actually took more effort to style than expected. The pink halo overhead and fluffy cat ears serve as the soul of the look, instantly helping me get into character once worn.

The gear used for this shoot was an X-T3 body paired with Viltrox 75mm f/1.2 PRO and 56mm f/1.4 lenses. The 75mm prime lens performed exceptionally well in the complex lighting and crowded background of an indoor convention, rendering clean bokeh that separated me beautifully from the background metal framing structures. The 56mm lens allowed convenient switching between half-body and close-up shots, capturing subtle and dynamic expressions. As for lighting, huge thanks to Godox for their support: the main AD400PRO lit up facial and uniform details, the fill AD200PRO added shadow depth, and the AD100PRO provided side rim lighting. In the side-profile and hair-flip shots, the rim light around hair edges was outstanding, bringing out rich depth in the dark blue wig so it didn't blend into a dark blob.

The venue was a standard convention open-air floor, whose high-ceilinged industrial structure and reflective ground were well-suited for shooting cool-toned characters. When doing school uniform Cosplay photography, the biggest worry is weak tailoring, but this jacket featured sharp tailoring, accurate tie and chest badge details, and black-and-red tactical gloves that created a capable, crisp aura. I deliberately paired black canvas sneakers with teal shoelaces to match the necktie—a neat little easter egg.

During the shoot, we tried various poses: standing with one hand on hip looking at the camera, leaning heavily sideways to convey playful spontaneity, and pointing one hand towards the lens with subtle pressure. The final shot with flying hair was a delightful candid surprise—a breeze caught my turning movement, creating dynamic motion that looked amazing in playback. Knee pads and black crew socks are staple character features, making her instantly recognizable anywhere. I hope everyone enjoys my interpretation of this Serika cosplay; I did my best to convey her awkward yet genuinely sincere cute charm.
