[Kasugano Sora cosplay] CICF Expo School uniform cosplay Outdoor photography Recap

This school uniform set had been prepared well in advance, and taking advantage of the CICF Expo, I scheduled a photographer to capture this Outdoor photography set by the green spaces surrounding the venue.

First, regarding the outfit styling: the off-white long-sleeved shirt has a loose, comfortable fit with subtle lantern-cuff gathers, keeping it from looking stiff. The collar is a grey-brown plaid lapel with a shield-shaped crest on the chest, boasting quite delicate detailing. The lower half is paired with a matching grey-brown plaid pleated skirt with crisply pressed pleats that flare gracefully whether walking or seated. On the legs are Black stockings, completed with black platform Mary Jane shoes with buckles, harmonizing seamlessly with the tones of the shirt and skirt. For the wig, I selected long straight platinum-blonde hair with blunt bangs; the ahoge cowlick on top took extensive hairspray to stay perked up, complemented by a black bow hair clip. For props, I brought along a brown leather school satchel, placing it beside me to add a touch of campus daily life.

The weather on the shooting day was fantastic with abundant natural light, casting soft, smooth transitions between highlights and shadows across my face and hair. In Photo 1, I sat cross-legged on the ground, saluting with my right hand while resting my left hand on my hip. This pose aimed to convey playfulness and vitality, while the seated stance nicely showcased the skirt and leg contours. The photographer shot from a slightly off-center front angle against dense greenery, which blurred smoothly without distracting clutter. Photo 2 was a candid shot taken while resting by the curb—hugging my knees with chin propped on arms and head turned sideways. I was originally just glancing at the nearby venue architecture, but the photographer felt this side-profile daydreaming mood fit the character perfectly and snapped a few frames.

Beyond costumes and wigs, harmonizing makeup and expressions is essential in cosplay. For eye makeup, pinkish eyeshadow and distinct false eyelashes enlarged the eyes while injecting an anime feel. Outdoor photography really tests how you leverage ambient lighting; under the harsh noon sun, we positioned ourselves along the tree shade's edge, using dappled light filtering through the leaves to prevent facial overexposure. Posing shouldn't be overly rigid—interacting with the camera or naturally carrying out everyday actions gives the photographer great candid opportunities.

The overall vibe at the CICF Expo was wonderful, and shooting outdoors avoided squeezing through crowds, leaving more room to refine postures and compositions. While this School uniform cosplay is casual, blending plaid, Black stockings, and platform shoes creates high visual recognition. The photos underwent minimal heavy retouching, preserving authentic skin texture and on-site lighting.
