A lot of thought actually went into editing this set of photos, especially in unifying the early-stage styling and the post-production light and shadow. The edges of the hair accessories and hood are embellished with many tiny rhinestones, and the physical texture heavily tests the lighting. To recreate that dreamlike feel in the close-up of picture one, the makeup intentionally emphasized the contours and pupil highlights, using layered light purple and blue eye makeup. Paired with the light blue wig, this cool-toned shoot is incredibly skin-brightening.
The costume features a layered design, with a white base on the innermost layer. The blue four-pointed star emblem on the chest is actually a rigid accessory that needs to be specifically clipped into the interface of the clothing to be fixed. Along with the silver trim and the embellishment of two yellow gemstones at the neckline, the overall visual layering is highly rich. The outer layer of the dark blue semi-transparent tulle skirt is very long. Since picture two was meant to capture a full-body shot, I specially looked for a venue with blue spotlights to match the outfit's own atmosphere, so that the ambient light produced could beautifully present the flowing elegance of the skirt hem.
To be honest, performing movements while wearing this set really tests body coordination, especially that hood and its attached streaming ribbons, which easily hit you in the face with the slightest movement. When taking the mirror selfie style in picture two, holding the phone in one hand while having to manage pulling the curve of the ribbon with the other hand easily catches clothing wrinkles in the candid shot. However, keeping this genuine sense of being on-scene in post-production actually feels quite vivid.
Although the close-up in picture one took a lot of effort in makeup and lighting, in terms of composition and eye expression, I feel it best embodies the character's temperament. Without the interference of extra text, the visual focus is entirely centered on the character's makeup and styling. Whether it's the silver wing-like decorations at the neckline or the thin rings on the wrists, these subtle touches all restore the character's inherent refinement. Doing this kind of blue and white style cosplay for the first time, I did everything myself from wig trimming to accessory wearing. Seeing the final photos makes me feel that all the previous repeated adjustments were well worth it. This was a very dedicated roleplay attempt, and I have recorded this passion through the lens of this Anime-style photography session.
