### A Deep Sea Ethereal Vibe
Putting on this outfit for The Shorekeeper cosplay, surrounded by the blue ocean and butterflies, I felt my entire mood calm down. What I love most about this costume is the lightweight fabric and layered design, especially the blue veil on the head, as well as the jewelry decorations at the neckline and arms. Paired with the aqua-blue gradient wig, it truly creates an ethereal feel from the deep sea.
### Studio Set Design & Warm-Cold Contrast
The set design for this shoot was incredibly meticulous. My friends carefully set up an angel statue and blue roses in the studio, with a touch of stained glass window in the background. The warm yellow lighting and the cool-toned Blue and white light tulle dress formed a subtle contrast of warm and cold, allowing the character to instantly grab attention in the frame.
### Seaside Atmosphere & Posture Control
The reflective silver plastic sheets spread on the ground were actually used to simulate the ripples of seawater or the reflections on the beach after the waves recede. We tried various compositions from different angles, such as those semi-reclining or side-sitting poses. Coupled with the blue butterfly props around me, it really maxed out the "seaside" atmosphere. The butterfly in hand and the foreground blocking in the close-up shots are all attempts to present an exploration of the character's inner world.
Before shooting these images, just arranging the skirt hem—which easily loses its shape—and adjusting the position of the headpiece took quite a lot of time. To present a lightweight and flowing texture, I also had to constantly pay attention to the flow of the garment during posture control. However, when the final results came out and I saw these delicate pleats and scene details, I felt that all the hard work was completely worth it.
### The Essence of Cosplay
I've always felt that a great cosplay work isn't just about changing into a costume; it's more about conveying the character's emotion and vitality in a specific scene. This set of Shorekeeper works can be seen as a materialized expression of my understanding of the character and this blue coastline in Wuthering Waves. The moment the final edits came out, it felt exceptionally quiet and beautiful—that is truly the charm of Cosplay photography. I am also very happy to share this piece under the Wuthering Waves Creator Incentive program.
