[Amane Kanata cosplay] Street Vitality of hololive

Sharing behind-the-scenes insights from this hololive Amane Kanata shoot from the CPGZ06 convention photos. For this session, we leaned into a light techwear aesthetic infused with street-style flair, selecting outdoor city streets as our backdrop. Regarding hair and makeup, the wig featured a silver-white base accented by blue highlights; the tiny blue wing hairpiece atop the head and side barrettes took patient anchoring to stay put, which, paired with light blue contact lenses and reddish eyeshadow, gave my face defined dimension under outdoor daylight.

The outfit centered on an oversized white tee, styled slightly off the right shoulder, complemented by blue-and-white tie-dye arm warmers. For the lower half, black shorts were accented by waist chain hardware and fluttering blue ribbons, while the legs showcased black fishnet stockings paired with a black leather thigh ring, rounded out with blue-strapped black platform shoes and white leg warmers. This coordination visually elongated my silhouette, making crouching and one-leg-lift poses especially striking on camera. During the shoot, the photographer worked primarily within the 40-85mm focal range, using a wide aperture to melt the background road and trees into soft, creamy bokeh, rendering the ambient light exquisitely soft.

We focused on capturing lively, dynamic moments—such as flashing peace signs, balancing on one leg, and playfully interacting toward the lens—yielding a high hit rate of great shots. The convention atmosphere was fantastic, and this look turned plenty of heads on the street; however, safety is paramount during outdoor street shoots, and crouching near the roadway meant relying on the photographer to keep an eye out for oncoming traffic. Smoothing down the wig and readjusting the thigh ring required constant attention beforehand. Having comfortable footwear was also crucial; stiff soles make prolonged crouching taxing, but fortunately, these platform shoes provided solid stability. The overall color palette was clean, highlighting the blue-and-white foundation. Attending the convention was a delightful experience, and this remains one of my most satisfying looks. I hope everyone enjoys these shots blending delicate details with dynamic street energy.
