We gathered at 6 AM to start hair and makeup. Although everyone complained about waking up so early, the moment we were fully dressed under those tall metasequoia trees, that familiar, lively group shoot vibe instantly rushed back. We picked a wide-open outdoor forest this time, just in time for autumn, filled with healing warm tones everywhere. As a Reimu Hakurei Cosplay cosplayer, shooting outdoor scenes like this really tests one's stamina, but the teamwork among the six of us today was far more seamless than expected.

Let's start with gear. Marisa cosplay with her brown vintage dress, broad-brimmed hat, boots, and signature broom was seriously heavy-duty; watching her carry it through the woods looked exhausting. Nazrin cosplay with her black-and-white maid-style dress and black Cosplay stockings had great texture under the sunlight, which, paired with that woven basket, gave poses on flagstone paths or grass a fairy-tale vibe. Aya Shameimaru's fan and small black wings popped against fallen leaves. Fujiwara no Mokou's striking red-and-white trousers with bow hair accessories delivered strong visual impact set against green trees and red maples. Sanae Kochiya's blue-and-white dress and whisk were also perfect for our chosen stream backdrop.

We practically swept through every usable scene in the park. Standing on the stone path among fallen leaves, sunlight filtered right through dense tree canopies, casting beautiful dappled light and shadow. The photographer, Coyote-sensei, excelled at capturing this natural light, rendering details of everyone's skirt hems and hair strands crystal clear—even when we were casually chatting and fooling around, he pressed the shutter with precise timing. The large rock by the water was our favorite camera angle: everyone scattered, sitting or standing on black rocks beside clear water reflecting tree shadows and sky. Thanks to this broad water reflection, the frame felt exceptionally quiet and deep, with reflections forming a lovely symmetrical echo with our original positions.

Unexpected hilarious moments definitely occurred during shooting—like accidentally catching the broom on a tree branch, or nearly slipping while walking on blue flagstones. Having shot together often, we long considered these mishaps part of the team-building fun. After all, everyone is usually busy with their daily lives; having a rare chance for all six of us to gather, don our cosplay outfits, and hang out as the old gang kept the atmosphere lighthearted throughout—essentially no different from a weekend outing with close friends.

This photo set captured several distinct movement lines: quiet artistic moments sitting thoughtfully by the stream, joyful scenes of running together through the forest, as well as grand group shots radiating presence. Autumn's signature soft light was a huge plus, beautifully highlighting folds in costumes, fabric textures, and accessory details on everyone. I especially loved the final group shot by the water; it not only presented character traits for all six of us, but also created a sense of extension via water reflections, requiring minimal complex editing since raw photos already provided a fantastic foundation.

Overall, this outing was a complete success—achieving official set quality while enjoying fresh outdoor air and nature. Being able to complete such a serious creative effort alongside a seamlessly compatible team in a comfortable environment made all the tiredness from the outdoor shoot well worth it.
