Shooting a Wuthering Waves character cosplay in this sailor suit-style outfit was actually quite challenging. The top is a cropped midriff style, the skirt is a structured pleated skirt, and around the waist and legs are a thigh ring and over-the-knee thigh-highs—all elements that heavily require careful pose adjustments. During the shoot, the most crucial aspects were controlling the flare angle of the pleated skirt and showcasing the leg lines. The slight cinch of the thigh-highs paired with the thigh ring visually elongates leg proportions nicely. The giant red scissors prop held in my hand is quite heavy with a center of gravity leaning toward the back, posing a real test for maintaining body balance. When taking mirror selfies, slightly angling the body and crossing the legs helped achieve better visual effects. The poses in photos 2 and 3—with arms spread and standing sideways with crossed legs—were actually designed to avoid reflection distortion on the thigh-highs in the mirror while accentuating the waist and hip curves. The fabric is relatively structured and stiff, prone to creasing if movements are too large, so it required constant tidying during shooting. Overall, bringing this anime character's outfit into a real photoshoot setting, where the cropped sailor suit contrasts sharply with the giant weapon, achieved a high level of styling completion for this Chisa look, making it a wonderful shooting experience.
