[Puppet Cosplay Genshin Impact] Costume and makeup challenge towards the stars and the abyss

For this Genshin The Marionette cosplay outfit and styling, the shoot focused on presenting physical textures and character spirit. Tailored to this character design, I made specific adjustments to the fabric combinations and the synergy between makeup and hair. Starting from an overall perspective, the full-body mirror shot in Picture 3 is the best window to showcase the proportions of this costume. Standing in front of the full-length mirror, one can intuitively see the complete silhouette of the entire outfit; the layered design featuring a white lining under the skirt and black outer ruffles, combined with white vertical-striped stockings and black-and-green color-blocked lace-up shoes, creates a very balanced visual weight for the lower body. Meanwhile, the companion helping adjust the headpiece in the background reflects our efficient teamwork inside the studio.

For the detailed control of the look, the highlight lies in the black wide choker around the neck. It uses a stiff material to maintain crispness, featuring a gold geometric serrated trim around the edges paired with a huge tear-drop red gem right in the center—the striking main color block collision makes it instantly recognizable at first glance. To match this outfit, I chose light golden long straight hair paired with a white tiara featuring asymmetrical geometric lines. The gold accents on the tiara echo the color scheme of the gem ornaments on the costume nicely.

In the close-up selfie shots, Picture 1 and Picture 2 nicely present the structure of the upper body. The off-the-shoulder cut combined with white stitched ruffles on the chest and a red accent band preserves the character's elegance to a high degree. The ring-shaped gold ornament dangling at the waist carries some weight, requiring careful center-of-gravity adjustments to maintain an upright posture. The white gloves act as a powerful tool to elevate the photo's atmosphere, especially the gently curved gesture in Picture 2, making the overall posture look dignified yet mysterious. For base makeup, I used matte products paired with blue contact lenses and earth-toned eyeshadow to deepen contours, allowing the gaze to look clearer and more focused against the curved lip shape.

As a deep participation in the Genshin Impact Creator Incentive Program, I hope to restore the character traits of Genshin The Marionette through this set of Genshin Impact cosplay photos. Our goal during the shoot was to pursue clarity and crisp contours, avoiding distortions caused by over-softening or heavy filters; this allowed the fabric's crispness and the volumetric sense of the ornaments to be recreated most authentically. Through repeated mirror adjustments of angles, I better mastered how to pose in outfits with heavy geometric elements and gorgeous decorations without compromising posture. Accumulating this experience is extremely valuable to me and represents the most enjoyable part of cosplay photography. The whole process was both a replication of the character's external image and a journey to find atmospheric resonance with Genshin The Marionette. This photo set presents my best current state and serves as proof of my serious dedication to every shoot.
