The process of shooting this Shenhe cosplay was actually a demanding test of details, with the primary focus on conveying her aloof and ethereal temperament. First, regarding hair and makeup: the silver-blue wig required meticulous styling and setting, and when wearing matching blue colored contacts, ensuring seamless fit was essential. The eye makeup deliberately elongated the outer corners of the eyes, paired with pale pink lip color to gradually summon that cool, detached, and slightly distant aura. The outfit served as the core of this look: a black-and-gold modified cheongsam combining traditional Chinese elements with modern tailoring. The chest cutout design, intricate gold embroidery, tassels, and metallic ornaments along the waist and legs gave the entire silhouette remarkable dimensional depth, perfect for Chinese-style cosplay. The fabric is relatively structured and stiff, which lends an imposing, spirited presence when worn, though it requires careful maintenance to preserve clean lines. During this Ancient style photography session, coordinated with a background of ink-wash calligraphy folding screens and carved wooden chairs, I held an ink-wash bamboo folding fan. While striking seated poses, I had to keep my back upright while presenting a naturally relaxed demeanor, staying true to the character's unworldly, detached persona. This shoot intentionally avoided flamboyant poses, relying instead on nuanced eye contact and the subtlest curve of the lips to communicate the character's personality traits. As an attempt participating in the Genshin Impact creator incentive program, communication with the photographer was exceptionally smooth; from lighting to camera angles, a cool blue-violet palette was selected to accentuate the rich texture of the black-and-gold attire. Although holding the half-open folding fan required self-managing precise angles and remaining motionless while seated—demanding repeated readjustments—the final visual presentation felt thoroughly cohesive.
