[Takanashi Hoshino cosplay] Blue Archive Cat-Senior's Lazy E-sports Time

For this Takanashi Hoshino cosplay shoot, I brought the set straight into my own gaming room where I usually play games. I felt that Senior Hoshino's character—seemingly lazy on the surface yet deeply dependable—paired wonderfully with this modern, highly personalized private space.

For the outfit, I picked this loose-fitting white off-shoulder sweatshirt made of very soft fabric, giving off an authentic, relaxed homewear feel. The choker necklace with the large golden bell at the neckline serves as the soul of the ensemble, giving off a gentle jingle with movement. The long pink curly wig, along with the cat ears and halo hair accessories on top, were specially styled to emphasize an adorable yet fantastical aura. For the lower half, I paired it with white over-the-knee stockings (White stockings), which flattered my leg lines nicely while curled up on the gaming chair, adding a subtle touch of charm.

The pink pig plushie in the photos is something I always keep on my chair; it unexpectedly matched today's color palette, making posing while hugging it feel effortless and natural. While prepping this set, I thought a lot about how to weave 2D elements seamlessly into a real daily setting. The glowing PC case, mechanical keyboard, and display cabinets filled with figures in the background were all genuine traces of daily life that needed no extra staging.

During the shoot, I didn't force stiff poses, mostly curling up to follow the curves of the chair or casually draping my legs over the armrest. In terms of lighting, the hexagonal wall ambient lights and the glow from the PC chassis cast a soft rim light across my face. This ambient lighting rendered skin textures translucent, while the interplay of pink and violet hues beautifully echoed the overall palette.

To convey that cozy, lazy mood described as 'ojisan's cat time,' I stayed relaxed in my gaze and posture without forcing wide-eyed cuteness, keeping a half-lidded, laid-back expression instead. Blending anime traits into authentic gaming-room living was the exact atmosphere I aimed to portray.

With props, beyond the plushie, I experimented with resting my legs on the edge of the desk, but prioritizing safety, I ultimately focused around the homier chair area. The final color grading preserved some of the warm tones from the raw shots without turning overly cool, keeping the image warm and true to a cat-senior lounging in her own territory. Balancing makeup, wardrobe, lighting, and angles took plenty of care, and integrating personal hobbies into cosplay photography was truly an enjoyable experience.
