Roaming the show floors at BW 2026, I took on Emberpup cosplay this time around. I was up around 6 AM to start hair and makeup; since Emberpup's facial features are quite distinct, to present my best state before the camera, I aimed for a flawless base, using warm tones for the eyeshadow to echo the orange stripes across the costume. The wig was styled with intention, layering the roots and ends neatly, and paired with blue colored contact lenses to make the character's expression lively and vivid. The costume fabric has a crisp, structured finish; the contrasting black-and-orange colorway looked stunning under the exhibition lights, and the tailoring fit snugly to make navigating the crowds easy. The padded paw gloves in hand were a major highlight of this Animal ears cosplay look—featuring an internal support structure that gave them much more shape and tactile presence than standard plush mittens—while the large orange tail at my back was secured with an invisible belt, swaying gently as I walked.

While wandering through the exhibition, I ran into many fellow enthusiasts who love Animal ears cosplay. The happiest highlight of the day was successfully getting a photo op with Master Peacock! Having admired their work online for a long time, meeting them in person was surreal. I was a bit nervous when approaching to say hello, but Master Peacock was remarkably approachable; we chatted briefly about our impressions of the expo and exchanged small cosplay tips. Then came our photo session: I held up my plush paws while Master Peacock posed in their costume, joined by a friend in dark fursuit gear as we gave high-fives and interacted—a scene brimming with that unique convention ambiance. The photographer captured fantastic angles, freezing those candid moments of connection.

After resting a bit at noon, I continued touring the booths in the afternoon. The setups at BW 2026 were clearly crafted with great care, especially the interactive zones. A massive crowd gathered around Aniimo's booth, radiating an amazing vibe. Foot traffic was intense, yet amidst the packed throngs, everyone remained polite and enthusiastic. Hearing passersby whisper how cute the outfit looked was the most rewarding kind of direct validation at a convention. As for my takeaways on cosplaying multi-prop characters, the key is balancing comfort with fidelity. For footwear, I opted for platform boots, which elevated body proportions while remaining practical for walking long hours. Combining orange over-the-knee socks with a black skirt further heightened the layered dimension of the entire ensemble.

After walking all day, navigating the costume and props was physically demanding and my feet were sore, but reviewing the vivid expressions and interaction captures in the Convention photos made every ounce of effort feel worthwhile. The convention was filled with talented creators and breathtaking booths. All in all, this BW 2026 trip fulfilled my dream of snapping photos with beloved cosplayers and immersed me in everyone's shared passion for ACG culture. Packing away the props now to unwind and enjoy the remaining expo moments. That's the magic of conventions—every gathering recharges you with boundless joy and positive energy. Can't wait for our next reunion on the show floor!
