The sea breeze in Qinhuangdao is gentler than imagined, especially on this sunny afternoon. Deciding to shoot this set of Sigewinne cosplay teasers at the beach was not only because of the high compatibility between the hot summer and the Hydro character, but also because I felt the natural vastness of the seaside could beautifully dilute the cramped feeling of studio shoots. When arriving at this shallow shoal in Qinhuangdao, the water level was just right for kneeling or semi-squatting, and the water temperature was very comfortable, carrying a hint of coolness that allowed me to enter the shooting state with a clear mind.

This look selected the most classic school swimsuit style, commonly known as sukumizu, where the dark swimsuit paired with white piping highlights the character's silhouette in the blue-and-white base frame of the sea and sky, without looking overly cluttered. The plush animal horns prop on top of the head is the highlight of the entire look; the soft texture combined with the sea breeze creates a highly natural, hydrated feeling. The light-colored wig flows easily in the sea breeze, and to control the bangs from flying wildly, the photographer Gray and I put a lot of thought into adjusting angles, ultimately choosing a position slightly sheltered from the wind.

The most interesting thing in the photos is actually that bubble wand prop. Trying to blow perfect, large circular bubbles when the seaside lighting is just right is a test of luck—the water surface has ripples, and the wind speed changes constantly, so having that massive colorful bubble completely captured in the frame was a moment of immense surprise for me. The refraction of the seawater and the iridescence on the bubble's surface complemented each other, perfectly maxing out the overall atmosphere. When kneeling in the water, the surface would wet the hem of the swimsuit, and that clingy fit actually looks like a very realistic slice-of-life vibe in front of the lens.

The photographer is highly adept at capturing the angle of the sunlight, making the entire shooting process go smoothly. Working with Gray was not only highly efficient but also allowed us to capture many natural moments amidst laughter and joy. Although the sea in Qinhuangdao isn't crystal clear like a tropical ocean, paired with the blue sky and white clouds of this day, the overall tone was clean and bright enough. Everyone on camera only needed to enjoy the sunshine and wind, so when the final photos came out, I was very satisfied myself.

Midway through the shoot, a gust of wind blew, and the plush tail prop nearby almost floated away, but fortunately, it was fished out in time. These minor episodes, looking back now, are also precious memories of this seaside trip. As a coser, being able to bring a beloved character into real life through such an outdoor location is a highly fulfilling achievement. I will cherish these on-site behind-the-scenes clips and final photos, recording this special summer beach experience through the lens of our seaside photography.
