[Asuna cosplay] Sword Art Online: Foshan Comic World CWD2 Convention Photos Record

The Asuna Convention photos from this Foshan Comic World (CWD2) event are finally organized. The lighting and industrial-style background on-site suited this red-and-white battle uniform perfectly, and the perspective effect of the wide-angle lens elongated the sword's length beautifully.

Before shooting, I spent quite a bit of time styling the high ponytail wig and refining the cross details. The White stockings, high boots, and sword scabbard props carried considerable weight, but to bring out the character's true aura, I kept an upright, crisp posture while posing.

The convention hall was crowded, but photographer NightDiva found a quiet corner, utilizing the industrial window light from above and the floor shadows for composition. Standing in high heels all day was indeed exhausting, but seeing the clean, sharp lines and the flowing battle skirt in the final photos made all the perseverance worthwhile.

This set of Convention photos includes a wide variety of actions—from the instant of unsheathing the sword to a composed expression sitting on the carpet gazing into the lens. Because these represent different facets of the same character, we experimented with varied lighting and camera languages.

Although this isn't my first time cosplaying this character, every time I do, I feel the resilience that Asuna embodies. In the original Sword Art Online lore, her swordsmanship is exceptional; I also referenced her personality in action design and facial expressions, hoping to present her confident yet gentle side in front of the camera.

As an enthusiast, I am very particular about gear details, faithfully recreating the leather buckles on the outfit and the layered texture of the leg straps. Switching between wide-angle and telephoto lenses allowed me to appreciate the aesthetic of this costume from diverse perspectives.

Finally, a huge thank you to the photographer for the hard work, and thanks to friends on-site for their support. There were slight wrinkles on the wig and costume, but I love the overall atmosphere. These photos capture not just posed shots, but the passionate and joyful energy of the convention at that moment.
