This Albedo cosplay Bunny girl ensemble for Overlord truly required extensive thought and effort, from material selection to the finalized makeup. The outfit features a glossy black patent leather bodysuit; this fabric yields gorgeous reflections under strong lighting, but it clings exceptionally tightly to the body, making putting it on and taking it off quite a chore. The collar is paired with a white stand-up shirt collar and a black bow tie. To faithfully channel the character's succubus nature, I not only wore glossy black bunny ears on my head, but also secured curved white horns on both sides. The wig is a deep blackish-purple long straight style, with the bangs styled and set to ensure they wouldn't block my line of sight during shooting.
Because this was a nighttime shoot, the ambient lighting was quite complex. We relied primarily on purple ambient lighting and frontal key lights on-site, which meant the leather suit had to remain impeccably clean—free of fingerprints or dust—otherwise it would look terribly smudged under reflections. For makeup, I specifically chose amber-brown colored contacts to heighten the sharpness of my gaze, elongating the outer corners of the eyes to amplify an assertive, mature presence. Since the night breeze was fairly strong, my assistant constantly smoothed down windswept strands between takes to maintain the visual integrity of every shot in these Convention photos.
When it comes to pose design, merging a Bunny girl aesthetic with Albedo's aura requires striking a delicate balance—neither overly docile nor too rigid. The first photo features a seated pose, gathering the legs together to accentuate the lines of the Fishnet stockings while resting one hand on the floor for a languid mood. The second photo is a classic kneeling pose, with one hand resting gently on my leg and the other touching my chin; this posture beautifully highlights the neck, shoulders, and bust curves. The third photo is my personal favorite: leaning slightly forward and placing both hands beside my cheeks in a playful paw-like gesture. This pose not only brings intimacy with the lens, but also naturally accentuates the deep V-neckline through the forward angle; paired with the wide-mesh black Fishnet stockings, it dials up the sensuality to the max. The final standing pose with crossed arms serves to present the sleek drape of the entire outfit and the styling effect with high heels.
The entire night shoot was more physically demanding than anticipated, especially kneeling on a plush rug in high heels and adjusting angles, which required engaging my core continuously. Leather doesn't breathe, so beneath outdoor temperature shifts, wearing it for long stretches leads to sweating; however, to achieve the finest texture, wrinkles and folds had to be smoothed out before every take. Still, seeing the collision between the glossy patent leather reflections and the night ambient lights in the final photos made all this meticulous polishing entirely worthwhile. That wraps up this makeup and styling log—I hope it offers helpful photoshoot inspiration for fellow fans who love this Overlord concept!
