At Bilibili World, I teamed up with Zaogao for this Duo cosplay pairing, creating a striking visual contrast. I took on the Dark style cosplay Elf look on the left: long purple hair paired with curved black horns featuring scale textures, pointed elf ears, and a black mesh top with white feather accents on the arms, creating rich depth under the convention lighting. I chose green contact lenses, with eye makeup emphasizing blended red tones to contrast against the purple hair. Zaogao's outfit was a pure white witch style: silver-white long hair complemented by sharply angular white horns on both sides, with a large golden choker and the ruby pendant at her chest serving as visual focal points, while the lace and pleated details of her white gown showed up crisply on camera.
Foot traffic at Bilibili World was massive, and securing the wigs and props while walking through the venue was our biggest challenge with this Duo cosplay. The black horns on the left carried noticeable weight and took quite a while to anchor securely using bobby pins and hairnets. The white horns on the right were lighter in material, but in crowded aisles, we had to be constantly vigilant to avoid bumping into others. We rehearsed poses in advance for this shoot. The gesture in Photo 2 reaching out toward the camera was tested multiple times on site; by adjusting arm angles, finger placement, and camera perspective, we achieved a truly impactful shot.
Because the venue's lighting was quite complex—with harsh overhead lighting in certain areas—we scouted spots in front of convention booths to utilize ambient colors complementarily. The Dark style cosplay outfit on the left highlighted fabric textures in brighter surroundings, whereas the white gown on the right leveraged darker backgrounds to establish separation and depth. Walking through the convention was exhausting—especially balancing the heavy prop wigs—but collaborating with Zaogao to produce this Duo cosplay photo set made the entire journey genuinely joyful. We also met many friendly photographers on site who queued up in an orderly manner, creating great chemistry throughout the shoot.
In post-processing, we mainly preserved the on-site color tones and original garment textures without exaggerated color grading, focusing on chiaroscuro contrast to make both distinct character styles stand out. This styling featured an abundance of makeup and prop details, and we hoped to fully convey this visual opposition. That wraps up today's Convention photos share; the convention experience was thrilling, and I look forward to trying different styles next time!
