[Ichinose Asuna Cosplay] Blue Archive's Summer Water Park Photoshoot

This set of swimsuit photos taken at the water park is finally sorted out and ready to be posted! The theme of this shoot was very clear: to present a refreshing summer vibe and a relaxed, casual vacation atmosphere. To match the overall character design, I chose a light blue two-piece swimsuit paired with a matching choker and her signature circular halo headpiece. To add a bit of a casual touch, I also propped a pair of black sunglasses on my head as a minor accessory.

In terms of styling, long straight blonde hair is actually a massive challenge in the hot summer outdoors. Although the wig material looks very smooth indoors, it easily becomes frizzy and can even stick to the neck and cheeks in the high temperature and humidity of a water park environment. To ensure the bangs framed my face just right in the final shots, I styled and set both the roots and tips during prep. This was to visually recreate the character's lazy, laid-back feel without letting bangs that were too thick block the light on my face. The sunlight at the water park that day was extremely intense. Under such harsh outdoor light, oil control and sun protection for my base makeup became top priorities. I specifically chose a matte liquid foundation and focused on eye makeup to enhance the depth of my gaze.

Let's talk about the props for this shoot. The pink-and-white inflatable swim ring is actually quite large, featuring cloud and star patterns along with a cute unicorn. Holding it not only provided great visual framing but also gave my hands a natural place to rest. When shooting the water scenes, the swim ring was a bit inconvenient to bring in, so I switched to a loose blue-and-white striped shirt as a cover-up. The shirt's material is very thin and light, giving off a natural damp look after splashing or getting wet, and the drop-shoulder design made the poses look more relaxed. Wearing the blue halo headpiece took some time; to prevent it from falling off while walking and posing, I used secure snap fasteners between the headpiece and the wig.

The venue on the day of the shoot offered a very rich environment. The large green water slide in the background, the wooden guardrails, and the stone-textured tiles on the ground all provided excellent color contrasts. The photographer, @蒲牢411, made full use of these elements during framing, using a wide aperture to blur out the crowded tourists and distant amusement facilities, keeping the focus perfectly on me. Especially when shooting in the water, the reflections and ripples on the water surface were used to enhance the depth of the images. For camera angles, the photographer mainly shot at eye-level and low angles, which nicely elongated my leg proportions and made my body lines look graceful and relaxed.

In terms of posing, I personally prefer postures that look casual but actually carry a sense of poise. For example, holding the frame of the sunglasses with one hand not only dynamicizes the upper body lines but also creates a connection between the hand movement and facial expression, keeping the overall composition from looking stiff. When holding the swim ring with both hands, turning slightly sideways makes the body's silhouette more dimensional, and the waistline is beautifully highlighted under the light. The shooting process was actually not easy—the ground at the water park was quite slippery, and there were other tourists walking around, so we had to quickly find suitable spots in a fast-paced environment. Fortunately, the photographer was incredibly cooperative, capturing each pose in just two to three seconds.

This outdoor shoot generally adopted a fresh and bright color palette. The light blue swimsuit and pink-and-white props created a very harmonious color coordination with the surrounding greenery and blue water. Being able to recreate the character's summer traits in a real outdoor setting was a highly enjoyable experiment for me. Although carrying bags of props around all day was physically draining, seeing the final refreshing visual outcome made the entire experience incredibly rewarding.
