[Duo Refreshing Summer Moments by the Pool]

Taking advantage of the good weather, we went straight to a local pool to shoot this project. Although it's a Refreshing summer theme, a lot of effort went into it, from finding the venue and preparing the wigs and props beforehand to the final output. On my side, the look with red hair and black horns was paired with a loose white off-the-shoulder shirt. As I walked, the hem of the shirt swayed gently in the wind, making my entire posture feel much lighter. Next to me, my partner's pink-and-white plaid dress paired with ram horns decorations instantly maxed out the sweetness, making our interactions feel incredibly natural during this Duo cosplay.

During the shoot, the sun was actually very blinding, casting harsh light on our faces several times. Fortunately, we brought a reflector for fill light, which made our skin tones look much softer in camera. Since I usually shoot indoors, moving to the natural pool side for this Waterside photography session gave me a chance to explore the usage of light. The windowsill by the pool became our favorite shooting spot—sitting, leaning, or even dangling bare feet, every posture perfectly fit the lazy temperament of these two outfits. Especially the few shots interacting with my partner, like gently lifting a chin with a finger or holding a wrist—those spontaneous little movements felt much more story-driven than rigid, predefined poses. The details of the costumes were also crucial, such as the strap decorations on my partner's legs and my black choker, which nicely aided the character traits in close-up shots.

To be honest, shooting outdoors in the summer is fine when wearing thin clothes, but carrying equipment and reflectors definitely made us sweat a lot. Still, this remains a very happy outdoor shoot memory for us. Looking at these final images, the light, shadow, and composition of every single frame have a sense of breathability without feeling dull. Being able to record the elements we love through images for this Pool cosplay session is inherently the most satisfying part of this Roleplay journey.
