Fine-tuning this black-and-red palette mirror selfie took considerable effort. The wig is short purple hair; creating natural layering required styling spray and hair gel, and the bangs took several adjustments before reaching the ideal look. For makeup, I paired red contact lenses with slightly winged eyeliner; since the room was dimly lit, the crimson gaze looked remarkably sharp under direct frontal lighting.

For outfit coordination, the main piece is a black-and-white striped shirt layered under a black corset. The corset lacing tension must be just right; otherwise, sitting down causes obvious creasing that looks bulky. The red skirt on the bottom is short with a relatively high slit, which, combined with red thigh straps and Black stockings, heavily concentrated visual focus on the legs. While the red platform high heels were a gorgeous accent, kneeling and supporting my weight for long periods was indeed quite uncomfortable.

The shooting setting was a room with wooden flooring and gray concrete walls; this cold, industrial environment perfectly set off the passionate intensity of the red-and-black outfit. The black strip-like tail accessory behind me required constant angle adjustments in the mirror, or else it would look like a messy dark shadow. To showcase better body lines, a kneeling posture was chosen, which accentuated waist curves while making thighs look more slender under the stockings. Capturing this angle in a mirror selfie required checking the mirror's cleanliness and flat angle—I wiped the mirror twice before feeling satisfied.

The references in the post description to 'weird cat', 'raise this cat next year', and Arknights (The Revenge of Arsenus) were actually explaining this crossover concept—merging Nyamu's feline playfulness with the somber, tense aura of hard-edged settings.

Putting on this black corset took some effort because tightening the waist was necessary to bring out an hourglass silhouette, which paired nicely with the red skirt hem. The red thigh straps felt unusual at first, but after gradually adjusting the tightness, they echoed the red heels nicely.

These two photos were taken from the same angle: the first has no hand gestures, offering a more complete posture and grounded composition; the second features a peace sign, making it look livelier. Since I also work in post-processing and retouching, when handling this type of mirror selfie, I pay close attention to how mirror reflections affect skin tones, striving to maintain the original palette while doing only subtle liquify adjustments. Although these photos are a bit dated, the overall texture held up well. Seeing the results of this diligently prepared outfit presented in the mirror made all the prior effort feel worthwhile. The tilt angle of the mirror also made the legs appear longer, and for my build, this form-fitting outfit showcased the graceful silhouette to perfection.
