"May the moon bless you"—this line has always been my deepest impression of this character. When deciding to do this Columbina Cosplay from Genshin Impact, the preparation period was actually very long. Especially regarding fabric selection, I tested no fewer than four or five types of white and blue gauze. The voluminous skirt from the original design requires a perfect balance between substantial weight and airy translucency.

Ultimately, I selected a patchwork of translucent sheer fabrics—the outer layer made of silvery-white satin with subtle pearlescent sheen, and the inner layer featuring layered ocean-blue chiffon. The moon relief on the chest is the soul of this look. To ensure it didn't reflect harsh white under highlights, the accessory was crafted from matte resin, which, combined with the pure white and slightly firm feather wings on the headpiece, truly restored that ethereal atmosphere.

Shooting day took place inside a massive indoor exhibition hall with complex lighting conditions and extremely bright top lights, posing quite a challenge for poses aimed at capturing a "floating feel." To present that light, mid-air floating stance shown in the photos, I remember the photographer had me jump repeatedly over ten times while simultaneously controlling facial expressions and limbs' gracefulness.

As for the white sheer ribbon straps crossing up my legs paired with matching high-heeled sandals, I actually wrapped them very tightly to prevent loosening during jumps. This not only extended wear time, but also tested my stamina and performance endurance. The wrapping technique for the ribbon straps on my arms drew inspiration from classical attire, aiming to make my silhouette appear sleeker when moving.

Styling the hair was equally time-consuming and demanding. The striking magenta gradient at the tips of this long straight wig was created step by step using a special spray-dye technique. Thus, on location, even a subtle turn of my body caused that splash of red to glow like a burning spark under the top light.

During post-processing retouching, I specifically asked the editor to keep facial and skin textures authentic without smoothing them out, preserving natural shadows and glow on my face. Instead, we darkened highlights in the background while adding fine sparkling points of light across the ceiling area to simulate a dreamlike moonlight effect. For Cosplay, a work is far more than just striking a pose for a photo; it encompasses costume design, fabric modification, prop pairing, posture control, shooting timing, and post-processing atmospheric rendering—a completely closed creative chain of Cosplay light and shadow. I hope this photo set conveys Columbina's gentle yet slightly distant aura, serving as a meaningful memory and summary of my dedication.
