The convention photos from Chongqing University's 2025 student organization recruitment for the Yiyao Anime Club are finally sorted out. Today, I'm first posting a set of images that lean slightly towards an elf-style wedding dress look. Originally, we had booked the forest scenery on the back hill, but it started raining in the morning and didn't stop all day, so we had to move our shooting plan directly to the second floor inside the gymnasium.

Honestly, lighting in a studio or this kind of semi-outdoor environment isn't easy to master. The second floor of the gymnasium features many massive zigzag fair-faced concrete walls, and after the rain, the ground was completely covered in puddles. However, by making good use of the mirror reflections and inversions, it actually became the most unique physical effect in this set of photos. To avoid cluttered pedestrians and road signs, the composition this time mostly adopted centered or low-angle upward shots, fully bringing the sharp geometric lines of the zigzag background walls into the lens, creating an interesting geometric echo with the character's soft white tulle for our Anime-style photography.

This time, the look is paired with a white loose gown that has a beautiful drape. The material is extremely lightweight and breathable, allowing the skirt hem to have a wonderful natural movement when walking. On the head is a small light blue and white flower crown, echoing the matching light blue bouquet in hand from top to bottom. To fit the theme of Elf cosplay, I specially prepared long pointed ears and a silver-white long wig, keeping the overall tone clean, translucent, and leaning towards a cool and aloof quality. Because it was a cloudy and rainy day, the diffuse light was exceptionally flat, so during post-processing, we slightly dimmed the ambient highlights and focused on the texture of the white gown and the character's rim light, striving to make the tones look soft and unified for this wedding photography style.

We shot many narrative-rich actions this time, such as kneeling on one knee to present a ring, adjusting the veil, and a gentle head-patting interaction scene. Although the shooting venue was limited, everyone's state was very relaxed, and the coordination of props and hand placements was excellent, leaving no cramped feeling in the frame. The reflection on the water split the entire composition into a two-part visual effect, and I especially love these moments where the real environment perfectly merges with the character's state.

Looking back at that day, everyone from the Yiyao Anime Club braved the heavy rain, holding umbrellas and carrying reflectors around the gymnasium to find suitable little corners. Although the process was messy, it unexpectedly became a highly memorable experience during this student organization recruitment period. This kind of creation pushed out under extreme conditions often brings unexpected surprises. I hope this set of photos allows everyone to see the anime passion our club transmits on campus, and I wish the club's future campus club activities become smoother and smoother.
