When shooting this Identity V Perfumer Tonight or Never cosplay photoshoot, the primary energy was spent on how to merge the lightweight feel of the costume itself with the cool white tone of the scene.

First is the design concept for the makeup. To match the cold temperament of this styling, I chose a matte and clean base makeup to highlight facial smoothness. Paired with this short golden wig, I wore blue colored contact lenses. For the entire eye makeup section, I intentionally dotted fine shimmer glitter particles, combined with long and curled false eyelashes to give the gaze a piercing feel. The eyebrows were treated softly, paired with cool-toned eyeshadow to brighten the brow bone and the inner corner of the eye, presenting a delicate yet not overly sharp style overall. The blue teardrop-shaped gemstone necklace at the collarbone is the visual focus of the entire outfit; its golden trim and blue gemstone are highly eye-catching in the predominantly white frame.

The materials of the costume are well worth detailing. Although pure white and light green serve as the main color scheme, the details feature distinct layers. The three-dimensional ruffles and white rose decorations at the shoulders and neckline, plus the semi-translucent lace lantern sleeves, visually increase the volume, making the figure look exceptionally petite and soft. There is also a subtle shimmer treatment inside the sleeves. The skirt hem features faint golden pattern prints, paired with irregular light gauze cuts, allowing the skirt to display a natural piling and drape when sitting down. The thick-soled chunky-heeled Mary Jane shoes visually elongate the leg lines and make the overall body proportions more balanced.

We spent a great deal of heart on setting up the scene. The ground was covered with a white long-pile plush carpet, which, paired with white iron birdcages, white Roman columns, and white bionic flowers, created a very pure cool-white space. During the shoot, a high-key lighting scheme was adopted with a slightly cool global color temperature, making the frame naturally carry a dreamy airiness. Such lighting conditions demand extremely high control over highlights; one needs to find good angles to avoid facial overexposure while ensuring that the high brightness of the background produces a soft transition with the character's contour.

The utilization of props is also a highlight of this photoset. The white cage not only echoes the styling's ambiance but can also serve as a foreground or background element to increase the frame's layers and depth. The white plush doll, several white candles, and even the flower branches and butterfly accessories in hand within the images are all reinforcing the theme of a pure white dream. During the shooting process, I coordinated with the props to perform many hand movements, such as gently supporting the edge of the birdcage or cradling the bouquet with both hands, all to build a gentle yet distant texture.

In post-production, I preserved the cool tones from the shoot while softening the frame's highlights, ensuring that the textures of the white gauze and carpet wouldn't lose detail due to overexposure. The atmospheric feel and exquisiteness presented in this photoset rely heavily on sufficient early preparation and control over styling details. Every production of a game character cosplay work is actually a materialization of one's understanding of the character. When facing the lens, adjust your breathing, feel the restraint of the costume and the embrace of the scene, and convey the character's charm through your own body language and demeanor—this is exactly the fun that cosplay brings to me.
